Kosher Cake Auto by FB. She finished stretching about 10 days ago, Started developing some trichomes and smelling a little bit. Preflower started about 25 days ago idk should I count preflower as flowering stage. Buds seem small compared to other diaries of the same strain.

Hey 👋 Your plant looks healthy, and the flowers seem to develop. I would not suggest to count the days, I would suggest to check the trichomes. She will at least need 4-5 weeks from what I can see at this stage.

In general, autoflowers tend to take longer to finish than what breeders typically claim. That might be a useful reference point for you. Based on my own experience with FastBuds strains, they’ve consistently been ready to harvest after about 70 days – from seed to harvest. Photos from other growers aren’t really a reliable comparison, because every setup is different: different phenotypes, different feeding schedules, different climate conditions – all of these factors affect growth and maturation. So you really can’t rely on those as a guide. That said, for me it’s always taken 70 days. Maybe that helps you a little in figuring things out.

Pre-flowers are not fowering, only an indication that actual flowering is in the pipeline. Flowering usually starts 2-3 weeks after the pre-flowers appear, I count from when there are small tufts of pistils formed at the ends of the branches. Going by this method, I would say your plant has only been really flowerinf for the last 10-14 days. P.S. - Never compare your grows to other peoples grows..........people can have problems with reality and no two plants or grows are the same, there are so many variables involved that direct comparisons are meaningless. Use other diaries as as source of information, not as a yardstick for your own grows.

unless you have a lab, knowing when an auto flips is a guess. You can assume it flipped ~7 days before you saw preflowers. Preflowers are the single calyxes that form at a growth node. This would be the most apples to apples way of comparing timefrrame to photoperiods. fwiw, 25d looks like a fairly accurate guess. It always seems slow at this stage. By 35-40 you'll distinguise plumping calyxes and you'll feel better about it going forward. Some can be faster or slower. Seeds come with variety even within a single strain - also, don't assume another breeder's similarly named strain is closely related. Clones are the only way to have consistency. also, some people like to present a fairy tale instead of accurate information. some count differently than others - e..g i count / update weeks when they finish and not at the start. e.g.4 weeks is 28 days, not 21 or 22. Neither way is wrong.

start counting from the first pistils. but judge whether its finished based on the trichomes. with autos they may take longer than the breeders recommendation
