Is flushing soil before harvest “broscience” or a proven fact?

all other things being healthy and fine -- total bro science. Flushing the rootzone does not flush the plant. There is no excretion system in this plant. What goes in, is either used or stored. it is never 'flushed' out. If you have overfed, diluting rootzone can help, but you still have to wait for whatever was overfed to be used in the plant. There's no flushing it out. lab tests show that flushing at the end does not impact mineral composition of the flower... meaning there is no excess Fe or K or P or anything else when yuo don't flush. so what exactly are these people saying is the "cause / effect?" flushing will not cause any problems as long as your canopy is strong enough to support this behaviour. If it is already deficient or lacking in any way to provide the building blocks necessary for growth (of which ripening is included), then it will only have a negative impact on the results. If something is lacking, obviously less ripening can occur. this isn't an opinion nor personal preference. Reality is not up for debate. Belief does not circumvent the fact teh plant has no excretion system nor the law of conservation of mass. Bulding blocks cannot be spontaneously maniffested. if the necessary elements are not available to make THCa or various terpense, they will not be produced. Starving a living thing is not a positive. if you have a strong, helathy canopy and you want to be lazy at the end, that is fine. It should not hurt you and even if it did you more often won't be able to notice a difference with the naked eye and a handful of plants. also, blind taste tests showed people could not discern between flused / non-flushed. this is the least important tidbit because personal reporting is some of the worst evidence you can ever rely on, lol.

If I feel like my soil has a build up of nutrition I just switch to water for last 10 days. Putting excess amounts of water through doesn't seem to do anything. My opinion.

I don't think there's an answer it's preference over anything else. Id say it takes some harshness away but how I can prove that. I cant...
