lots of white fresh pistils is an indicator that the flowers are still developing and that the harvest window is not open yet... as the buds mature the pistils will start to turn brown or orangish in color but are still viable and still stick pretty much straight out... it is when the brown or orange pistils begin to curl back toward the bud that the pistil is no longer able to be pollenated and the plants life span is coming to its end...when approx 50-60 percernt of the hairs have curled backwards is usually the ripest the flower will be... anything shorter and you may miss peak, anything more likely take it to far...hope it helps

Another 2 weeks, maybe even 3. When there are 98-99% brown pistils/hairs, you will be entering the harvest zone.

Agree, keep going, you'll be surprised what growth can happen in the last week. She won't mature evenly, pistils everywhere will start to be more like 90% orange/brown. By then you should be seeing 90% cloudy trics. Good to go then if you like. I've had some grows never show amber. My grows take from 10 to 16 weeks flower. Looking good. Like to see more of the whole plant to see size of buds

*triihomes on calyxes only, ignore trichomes on leaves. still looks like a fair amount of plump left.. at least a week is just a guess... the trichomes are your guide.

You are at the point where scoping the trihomes daily is useful. simply observe and react... all sorts of suggestions as to how much amber to see before chopping down. A little trial and error on your part is needed to figure out your exact preferences.

Hey Growmie, Looking frosty! I’d say you’re getting close, but not quite there yet. Trichomes look mostly cloudy, but I don’t see much amber yet, and there are still a lot of white pistils. I’d give it another 7–14 days—let those pistils darken more and wait for some amber trichomes to show up if you’re after that heavier effect. A jeweler’s loupe helps for checking trichomes up close. Almost there, though, looking great!
