Hi my friend if you go on to YouTube and type in apogee independence. it professor Bruce bugsbee he explains that if anything do it when the lights are about to go out. because with the lights on it keeps up production. but he also says that he has done experiment and he can't see any scientific difference in terpene cannabinoid production or potency with 48 hours lights off or if you crop in the middle of the day it's just how you prefer . Hope that helps 🌱👍

The best time to harvest imo is before the lights come on , or the sun comes up if growing outdoors. There are several reasons for this and it's not just for weed but almost any other plant, vegetable or herb that is farmed. I will simply paste from google because its well put and I will apply on it "Almost all vegetables are best when harvested early in the morning. Overnight, vegetables regain moisture that they lost during the day, and starches formed during the day may be converted to sugars during the evening. These traits make morning-harvested produce crisper, juicier, and sweeter." In regards the herbs this also helps retain better the flavor as the oils on them are not degraded by the light for example basil. This also applies to the trichomes on cannabis and in fact it is researched that the peak point of potency and aroma in trichomes is before the sun comes up, as the plant is preparing to maximize sun protection for the coming day of sun as they act like sunscreen. Also imagine you want to harvest a person to do work for you 😂 would you want him after an 18 hour shift with no energy left in him or right as he wakes up when he is full of energy.😬 Hope this was helpful. and good luck.👊

One hour after lights come on. I have conducted many experiments with what time to harvest over the last 40 years, including every imaginable scenario, early, late, at night, middle of the day etc, etc and this early morning, just after lights on, has proven to me to produce the tastiest buds. Extended darkness/light is pure ghetto science.

Either directly before lights on, or soon after lights out.

SIGNS INDICATING A MATURE PLANT. -80 to 90% + dead red stigma. - visibly swollen calyx. - visibly bloated trichome. - age relative to expected harvest. - trichomes darkening. all of this is part of the reproductive system and must match, or it could indicate a problem. Don't buy into the only the color of the trichomes matter. That's not true it's a combination of all of the above. All of the leave a plant in the dark, or light for X amount of time before harvest is bro science. Also flushing doesn't do anything for the plant. You should plan your harvest based on the above, and what works with your schedule. I usually harvest on a weekend that falls close to the plants being ripe. This gives me time to do the work. Don't feel rushed that you have to immediately harvest a plant because you think it is ripe. A few days one way, or the other won't make a difference in the quality of the bud.
