Have seen this once after i opened up a bought Bud. @hempface86 and @incognitus are right.
You can pick it up with a toothstick and taste it, it's like pure sugar but won't make you high or anything.

"Guttation" is the term for it. It's fluid from phloem. It's not THC-related at all.... your maple syrup reference is pretty much a parallel
There's nothign wrong with it.

Called guttation..it's the plant exuding a built up sap .. it's nothing to worry about.. it's just something that happens .. looking good..happy growing growmie! ✌️
