Hydroponics water changing while on scrog

I have a hydroponics setup with a couple of DWC buckets and 2 dutch buckets. Can I use a sum pump to change the nuts once the net for scrog is on?

I use a hand transfer pump ... cheap enough and can take MOST of the water out of the buckets when needed. I don't tend to do a complete change of the bucket more than once or twice during my grow - and I don't worry if I have to leave some old water in the bucket.... MH light distance for 600w vegJust had a question answered but couldn't reply, have taco leaf due to change from HPS to MH. Both was @ 600w+ @ 45cm. What distance would you recommend the light to be and what wattage for the best growth with the MH as it seems to be too much compared to HPS distance RH40-65%
