Got to agree with @Organoman
unless you have been giving this plant next to no light and this is why it is so stunted.

Are you sure you want to keep such a slow growing plant as a mother plant?
This plant would be ok for 3 weeks old, but it is 6 weeks old.............

Deeper the roots taller the plant?Will the size of the pot ultimately reflect the size of the plant ? I’ve always used 5 gallon pots and get about the same size of plant . Growing out instead of up.Please help out! I moved it into a new pot and topped it last week as suggested.
Also new ViparSpectra light at 45cm away @80% power.
Nutrients/food yet to arrive.
It seems to just be growing out instead of up, and starting to see some white/ burnt looking spots.
