Depends how your growing and what you growing in.
I do not measure runoff as I do not water till I have run off. I use dry amendments to the soil and they breakdown slowly vs instant feed with liquid nutrients in coir mix.
If your watering till run off it would be good to measure the PH EC/PPM as well.
It helps determine if you are feeding enough and if there is any salt buildup.

For knowing 100% how your plant is doing - YES !
BUT :
You have to use new CLEAN plate to collect run off, not first not absorbed watering- but run off when you overwater pot basically.
Such thing could lead to more problems than solutions if you plant is small or you grow in soil.
People do it mostly to diagnose issue ...

is it bad that i topped her ?topped my autoflower diesel at the 4th node and a few days later i see she is growing white pistils there and also on the secondary lower branches already white pistils .
