Hi, without photos, based only on Ur description we are talking about Fungus Gnats. Harmful. Use neem oil (slow action), nettle macerated (faster action), yellow sticky traps. Do not let soil surface stay wet, better to gently dig the surface. Cheers

Sounds like gnats. They like wet soil, Neem oil will work. I grow basil around my plants and that seems to keep most insects away from my plants.

Mosquitoes feed on warm blooded mammals so your plants are safe lol :) If you want rid of them try using neem oil on your plant that will repel most pests just incase they could be nasty which i doubt will most likely just die out without a way to reproduce or lay eggs :)

Whent to use nutrients mainling a plant?When do you start giving nutrients when main lining a plant? Should I use my regular scheme? Should I just see this as a normal grow?
