Leaf issues

Onandonstarted grow question 4y ago

Hi all. I’ve seen some discolouration creep into some leaves on my fat banana over the past few days. I’ve just ( in the last week ) changed from easy grow during veg to biobizz biobloom during veg with a drop of cal-mag. The plant was damaged during LST so what’s the issue ?

Thanks guys. Water is in the high 7s so pretty hard. So far only one watering contained a small dose of cal-mag but I’ll remove it from the next watering which is due tomorrow. Run off looks fine so I’m discounting that. I was more concerned that the damage to the plant may have caused. The only leave effected are the older growth so I’ll monitor for any spreading

What is your water run off ph. A lot of deficiency problems are simply a lockout in substrate due to ph out of range. Check that prior to add more nutrition you might not need like calmag. Good luck and happy growing 🌲🌲🌲👊

When ppl get leaves like this and use calmag I always ask what you waters like, hard or soft? So in UK hard is usually about 7.4 for me, so full of calcium. So if using extra cal, it causes a build up for me. I've ditched cal products now because I just don't need it. Googlin your water company quality in your area should tell you if it's hard or soft. See where we go from there.

Dark spots on leaves One of my girls got dark spots on her leaves. Is she ill, or is it too hot, or is the humidity too high? I gave them every second watering all those fertilizers 1ml/L. Something ate a hole in a leaf last night. It not a complete hole through just the chrolophyll was scraped off, leaving a yellow bite mark (picture in diary). I removed a caterpillar looking thing from my tent this morning, no idea how it got there. Could that have been it?

Phosphor? wind Burn? my Leaves crisp up!Hey, i have a problem where 1-2 plants got some issues with brown-bronze'ish spots on the lower leaves. i have some photo to show you. also i'm worried it might be thrips but i don't really see any bugs. it also might be wind burn because the fan was a bit harsh :/ any idea?

Dark dots in leaves. Lamp burns?I saw this dark dots in leaves but only she has it. She was exactly under spider-farmer sf1000 at 30 cm. Now I moved to other softer light at 40 cm. What do you think? Lamp burns? They're dry and curl up. Some images are edited for better appreciation but you have also originals.

Brown leaves - what am I doing wrong, folks?They look yellow in the photo, under 250W of blue light, but they are brown. This starts at the tips of the large lower leaves and spreads quickly to the whole leaf. Also modest edge curl. What am I doing wrong here, folks?

Purple Queen show some spots on the leaves, what do you think it is?The middle plant show some spots on the leaves, what do you think it is? 😜 Note: I lower the PH in my autopot system to 6.1. Normaly my bat mix have enough nutrients for the first 6 weeks. The dark color is because of the higher PH > to much Nitrogen intake I think.

Plant #3 (pic above) started as a sprout with discoloration. Now on its 4th node, the plant is still affected. Some other plants seem to have it to a lesser degree. I learned it may be TMV, but they are healthy and growing well other than this slight discoloration. Any thoughts?
