jazzbass My first serious attempt:
#1 Auto Durban Poison by Dutch Passion
#2 Auto Blueberry by Dutch Passion
Mammoth grow box + Roleandro LED Grow light 300w
--
I have been dealing with some humidity problem (way too dry) in the second week.
The grow tent is in a very wet room so I thought it was going to be way too humid but it was the opposite instead! Luckily some wet cloths laid around and a bit more watering did the trick.
Might have spilled some water on the Durban Poison and half burnt one leaf, it doesn't seem to have stressed it too much tho.
I still have to understand how to properly water them but, as a noob, I guess this is all experience and next time will be better!
Cheers guys, I'll try to update it at the end of every week and see what happens, any tip is always welcome and well appreciated 🙌

jazzbass #1st update
Mid 3rd week - day 18/19
Managed to keep the humidity level between 55% and 60% and started to add some nutrients at the beginning of the 3rd week, I guess I'll keep em goin' 'til the very end.
I'm curious to try some LST technique on both, might give it a go!
#2nd update
day 21/22
I've decided to reorganize the space in my grow box and I moved the two cardboard frames I was using to raise the pots some 30cm above the ground.
Also notice that the ADP wasn't really stretching and most of the good stuff was hiding under some big leaves so I gently tied 'em up trying to force them to grow towards the light.
Apart from that everything is almost the same, the ADP has reached the AB in height and now they're both at 15cm... happy times! (:
#3rd update
End 3rd week - day 22/23
well, I guess we are really close to the flowering stage!
Pretty happy with this 3rd week, they both grow from 12 to 18cm look healthy and strong.
Looking forward to next week!

jazzbass #1st update
4th week - day 23/24
it's flowering time, wasn't expecting it that early 😜
I've spotted some yellow tips on the AB, hopefully nothing too harmful, maybe I over-watered them, will wait for a couple of days before giving 'em anything else and see if there'll be any changes.
This week the real surprise was the ADP 😯 It's growing really fast day after day with the AB is a just a tad behind...
#2nd update
mid 4th week - day 26/27
so far so good, I haven't watered for a couple of days and hopefully that yellow leaves situation has stopped.
A little haircut here and there and that's pretty much about it...
I will begin to add some BigBud and maybe transplant them in bigger pots.. will see about that!
#3rd update
end 4th week - day 29/30
well that's it for this week... not really much to report. They are growing steady at almost 1cm a day.
Had a bit of a search and I think the problem isn't bad-watering but a nitrogen toxicity instead (yellow and claw tips) so I'll be cautious next week when feeding the AB, maybe just filtered water.

day 32/33
Unfortunately the "yellow tips" situation hasn't improved, most of the AB has yellow tips and now some of the top leaves of the ADP are showing the same symptoms.

jazzbass Whoop Whoop - 6th week update!
Day 38/39
What a week, I've been super busy at work and had basically no time for my babies.
I've transplanted both of the babies in some bigger pots and cleaned most of the fan leaves and they survived it quite alright.
I've started feeding 'em again after a week without any nutrients, I really think I overfed 'em in the past so i'll be extra careful from now on.
Day 40/41
Growth speed has diminished a lot, I guess it depends from different factors. By looking at similar diaries I've noticed that auto strains tend to be smaller and quick to harvest when always in 24hrs light cycles instead of 20/4, 18/6.
I'll definitely include dark periods in my next growth.
In the end it's all about learning new things and gain experience, can happily say I'm not disappointed 🙌
oh yeah last pic is a little family photo, "The hanging garden of Babylon" seemed appropriate 😜

jazzbass 7th Week update -
here we go... one hell of a week! the weather went batshit crazy, it seemed to be in Oz all over again!
First super cold and humid, then summer time hot... hopefully it didn't mess around with the girls.
The buds are fattening and you can tell the difference day by day... My DSLR died few weeks ago so I can't get a decent shot of the buds but they look gorgeous under a magnifying lens <3
I guess I'm reaching the end of this exciting adventure, next feed I'll give 'em the last shot of nutrients and then good flush for the final week.

jazzbass This is it my friends, I've almost finished my last week. I'll get a microscope and check the trichomes but it's a matter of days. Love the stickiness and the beautiful smell that's coming from both of them. I don't think they'll deliver a decent harvest but I'm sure, quality wise, it will be top notch.
@DutchPassion_Official, hey guys thanks to you for your great work! So far I've never been disappointed by your genetics, atm I'm growing a Think Different which is looking great!
Man, both of those little autos are going to have one fine stack of buds when they are finished!! They should both start stretching a lot in the next week or so. With the growth you have there, maybe 2-3 days! Hopefully they will stay squat so you'll have a massive cola.
I really love Durban Poison. I'd like to pick up some seeds, but I have enough seeds to last me the next year!
@Quexos, thanks bro! It's being really fun so far. Can't wait too witness what you described 😂
you know I actually didn't choose this one, a friend gave it to me to test it and I'm so surprised. It looks gorgeous, smells good and seems so strong and easy to grow. Definitely recommended!
@jazzbass, Durban Poison is a sativa strain so it stretches a lot more than an indica. It's flowering period is a little longer too. Considering its an auto, it should stay relatively short. Based on your photos, it probably won't stretch to more than 20 inches. My girl went from 7 inches to 18 inches during the stretch. Seedsman carries the same seeds you are growing. I put some seeds on my wishlist for my next order.
@jazzbass, thank you, one phenom, the bushier one, stretched a lot, like doubled his size in first few weeks of flower, the other stayed a bit more on the short side.

@bobo420 thanks bro, I've learned so much from these 2 months and despite the very small yeld I'm very happy I've managed to get through and finish this diaries.
Looking forward to seeing the rest of your grow!
Was the water you spilled on the Durban Poison plain water?
I’ve also been using wet cloths to keep stabilise my humidity. I’m not sure how you do yours but I fill a bowl with hot water then place a bottle of water in the bowl. I then place the cloth over the bottle hanging over the open mouth and with the edges in the water in the bowl below. The cloth acts as a wick and I just replace the water ever 2 days or so. Works great!
Thanks dude, those pics were taken last friday and today they look better than ever.
I'd love to try some of the different methods I've seen around Growdiaries, especially the LST one. We'll see...
To answer your question, nope I think it had some Root-Juice in it, I also believe the lamp was too close to the leaf and accelerated the drying process ( I kept it around 10cm far from the tip of the plants for the first 2/3 days then moved it to 25ish and kept it stable at that distance)
Wow that's some trick you got there mate, I've been just using a damp cloth, left it in a container with some extra water (and some copper wires just to avoid eggs from mosquitos et similia :D ) but I'll definitely give yours a try! Have you got any pics? :D
