CanniChurch No pictures taken of this part unfortunately, but I dropped 5 seeds into a solo cup of distilled (pH 6.5) water and left them soak for 24hrs. After 24hrs all 5 seeds were moved to a paper towel, presoaked with distilled (pH 6.5) water, which was folded in half and sealed inside a ziplock bag. After about 30 hours in the ziplock I opened to find 4 of the 5 seeds had germinated, and 2 of them had longer than expected tap roots. Filled 4 pots (originally planned for 3) with FFOF (nothing else), used finger to make a hole as deep as the first line on my index, then planted seeds taproot down and covered lightly with dirt. The soil wasn't flushed or even presoaked beforehand (will definitely presoak next time) but I did lightly water the top layer, with a little more right above the seeds, using a spray bottle and distilled (pH 6.3) water. No nutes, only pH (6.3-6.5) distilled water. Lights are currently hanging about 24" above plants @20% brightness (veg lights only). Generally kept the environment around 65°-85° and an RH of between 40%-65%.

CanniChurch Long time, no updates! Lots of sad news, and lots of good growth. We're now on Week 12 - Day 3 and the little girls will be asleep in a few hours so I wanted to get some new pictures before bedtime! To summarize the last 3 months: All four plants (bagseeds) were put through veg for 9 weeks (performed a 3rd topping around week 7-8 so I gave them extra time to bounce back). Throughout this entire first grow there were definitely times that I got lazy with the watering schedule which may have caused issues with stunting/other burns, and my cheap Amazon pH meter broke about 2 weeks ago but by this point I know my tap comes out at about 7.5 pH and my nutrients bring that down to about 7.3 pH. Nonetheless, these babies haven't been closely pH monitored throughout the lifecycle, but they didn't exhibit nearly any signs of burns/deficiencies until about the 2nd week of flower (week 11). The plants were pretty much not defoliated until about week 6, even then they werent fully chopped unless the leaves looked brown or afflicted. Around week 8 I upgraded the tent size from 32"x32"x64" to a respectable 48"x48"x80", and included a trellis net for a SCrog. The net was slid down to the top of the shortest plant, then I tucked all the other plants under the net and continued to re-tuck every other day or so. I also added a tower fan for additional air circulation, though I found that the wind blowing directly onto my leaves caused them to brown and eventually need to be removed. Finally, they got a brand new sun. Swapped out the 'Viparspectra VT300' for a 'Mars Hydro TSW2000'. When I first replaced the light I kept it at 50% for the first day, then 75% the second, and 100% every day thereafter. The plants seem to love the light, though it does add 2-3 degrees to my overall day/night temp differences; not a problem. Around week 10 I found that 2 of the 4 plants were actually males </3. Wanted to inform of the signs I noticed. First, those 2 male plants grew noticeably taller than the 2 females. Then, during flowering their budsites started to look like "pineapples" instead of the buds I was expecting. A couple days later I came back to the plants and noticed that the pineapples were definitely now pronounced seeds stacking amongst each other so I decided to chop the males down. Hung them to dry and was originally going to try to bubble hash them, but I was convinced there was little to no value since they were chopped in the first couple weeks of flowering. Still have the leaves, been thinking about composting or making a tea? As of the beginning of week 12, I found that the taller of the last 2 plants is actually a hermie. Small nanners are growing under/near some of the bud sites, but we're too far into flowering and at least she's actually growing flowers so I decided to let her stay. This means she's most likely going to have non-sterilized seeds and will probably also pollinate my other girl; but they're bagseed! I'm sad to have had 3/4 plants disappoint but grateful for the learning experiences and proud of my green thumb! I've gone out and purchased legitimate feminized seeds from a reputable bank and will be starting that grow shortly. Looking forward to taking everything I've learned from this grow and applying it for better success! I'm still unsure of the strain we're dealing with, but I'm hopeful for tasty personal in a few more weeks! I also want to be better about updating these diaries. I appreciate the plentiful knowledge banks and all the spicy love from the community! Looking forward to sharing with and learning from!
