CaLiGuy420 My friends self bred strain experiment, ended up with over 100 seeds. Crossed Male Seedsman GG4 with Seedsman XTriple XL Auto Female. 2 seeds sprouted in 24hrs. Other 2 seeds were different strain for another grow.
Intent of this grow- First and foremost, I wanted to see how this crazy new strain turns out. Secondly, I wanted to do a side by side of a mainline grow versus purely LST with all things being equal. Both will be lightly defoliated as needed. FINGERS CROSSED, these are both female seeds! (When side branches are 5-6in, I will steal a clone from each and put straight to flower when rooted to test for sex/ maybe get a sample!).
Frank 1, The mainline plant: grow to 5th/6th node, top to third (node 1&2 removed) next toppings will depend on how much stretch I have to deal with. My goal is to keep its height short so it will be the same as Frank 2.
Frank 2, All LST plant: as soon as plant has 3-4 good sets of nodes, LST will begin to edge of bucket. As growth continues, we will circle from outside to middle.
Background-This is still my 1st grow cycle. The others in the background pics just started earlier without documenting (trying all kinds of methods with them, and for clone practice that will turn into a clone to kratky experiment).

CaLiGuy420 Stretched like crazy! Showing sativa dominance. 1 plant had 2 roots stuck in cup and broke off. Hopefully recovery is fine and I can get to the fun of training soon!
CaLiGuy420 1) These plants had way to much stretch so I had to train them down. Plant 1 was pure LST and growth almost came to a halt. Plant 2 I mainlined after clearly seeing node 6...may have been a little early, and I damaged the stem when bring down the height we'll see. 2) Next time I need to keep light closer to keep the stretch under control. 3) I need smaller holes in my sub irrigation jug, I noticed the water flows right out into bucket bottom making my float check inneffective.

CaLiGuy420 Just waiting for some rapid new growth 🤞UPDATE: Growth came in pretty good the last 3 days. Waiting for the explosion of plant 2 next week so it can get its 2nd topping.
Plant 1's all LST I now see is going to take forever---only gaining maybe 2in a week so it probably wont wrap the entire bucket as intended. (It only get to grow as long as Plant 2's mainline for 8 colas takes
CaLiGuy420 This week has become clear that pure LST is going to have a plant growing much faster in size. Does that mean more yeild than mainline???? We'll find out!

CaLiGuy420 This week the mainline plant seems to have become the bigger of the two. Loving the SIP bittom watering...so east to control the nutes and no bugs to deal with. Also the watering every 5 to 7 days ability is awesome

CaLiGuy420 Defoliated as we get ready to end the veg period. Giving them the next 2 weeks to recover before switch to 12/12. Growing slow but beautifully with the weekly watering sip style

CaLiGuy420 This week they got neglected while on vacation. They will get some water and defoliation before going to flower next week. One thing I noticed about SIP method is they grow soooo much slower but the main stems are massive!
