Brussell13 All seeds have sprouted. They have been placed in red solo cups filled with 50% Royal Gold Tupur coco mix and 50% Fox Farms Ocean Forest soil to reduce starting nutrient levels. Growing in a Vivosun 4’x4’x80” tent with two MarsHydro ts1000 (150W) LEDS. Additional equipment includes the AC Infinity temperature control 4” in-line fan, a Honeywell humidifier, and two 6” desk fans. Bag seeds were started Dec. 17th, planted on Dec. 23rd, and all had sprouted by Dec. 25th. Feminized ILGM seeds were started on Dec. 23rd, planted on Dec. 26th, and all had sprouted by Dec. 28th.

Brussell13 No nutrients, only 1 light watering so far. Had to turn light down a bit due to twisting/cupping, slowly bringing it back up. Finally got the environment controlled at consistent temperature and humidity. The larger plants labeled “BAG” are about 5 days ahead of the other seedlings, so they are technically on day 12 while the seedlings are 6-8 days. Roots are already poking out of the holes in the solo cups. Never used this size container before, not sure how long I should be leaving them in there once root development is visible.

Brussell13 My wife helped me label my plants - but in style, individually, this time. Repotted from solo cups to 1 gallon containers. Added mycorrhizae. Same soil/coco mixture. Will be experimenting with mainlining on the taller plants (bag seeds) once the 6th node comes out.

Brussell13 The bag seed experiment plants were topped and set up for mainlining. Never done mainlining before, planted these throwaway seeds from my outdoor crop just to practice with it for my next grow. The tops recovered and kept growing strongly from the get-go - this one looks to grow vertically strong like a sativa. Not sure how long I’ll keep them, probably until space becomes an issue. The feminized seeds were all topped. They are responding slowly to the topping and are shorter/bushier anyways, but the tops are finally growing out now. I have a mutant - one of my GDP plants has a mixture of mutated leaves (4 prong) and mutated tops (tri-tops that each randomly show both symmetrical & asymmetrical nodes). Not sure if I should keep it or not, all the mutants I’ve ever had eventually became a pain in the ass. Had to flush - the FFOF was still way too hot, even diluted by a third with Tupur. EC was coming in at 2400, the leaves showed cupping and twisting downwards and some odd burn patterns, so I flushed with distilled water, about 4 gallons total. EC now comes in at 1500-1800 and the leaves are showing to be healthier.

Brussell13 Had a rough week. Finally encountered the dreaded overwatering when watering 4 days after flushing (with Myco+). Plants have not been well since the flushing last week. They are drooping, yellowing, some getting burnt while others getting lockout. Dropped humidity to 50% to help them get rid of excess water a bit quicker. This week has essentially been a setback, the growth has been mostly stunted. Planning to move plants to 3 gallon bags soon, hoping that will get them enough air and dry dirt to recover faster.

Brussell13 Plants are finally picking back up after getting stunted from overwatering. I transplanted from 1 gallon into 3 gallon bags and removed the boy plant (unfortunately). Remaining two gallons were half Tupur and half FFOF. Watered 3 days after transplant with myco. Even with the nitrogen in the new soil, they’ve yellowed up so started watering with General Hydro nutrients and Calmag.

Brussell13 Finished stretching out the scrog net. Set it at ~14” above the dirt. Used wooden dowels taped to the tent poles and zip ties to stretch the net to the sides of the tent. Plants recovering and picking up growth again. Kicked up the nutrients this week as some are still yellowing and showing other deficiencies. Thinking of letting the plants reach the net and then spreading them out for another week before flipping.

Brussell13 Plants growing into the screen now, mostly the two bag seeds that seem to be sativa. Defoliated the bottom half of plants and rearranged. Plants in certain spots of the tent grow slower due to the lighting. Moved the runts towards the center of the lighting. Not sure how I will deal with that after the plants grow through the screen? Ordered a 200w LED to add to the tent for a total of 500w of LED light. Not sure if that will be adequate either but was the most affordable option. Hoping it gets the smaller plants up to the net faster so I can flip to flower.

Brussell13 The new light and rearranging helped even out the canopy a bit, but the two plants in the middle seem to be runts. Everything has caught up to the net and more except for these two. Considering going ahead and flipping now, since several plants are reaching the limit of their horizontal scrog space.

Brussell13 Switched to flower midway through the week. Plants have been seeing a major growth spurt even before the flip. Hoping I have enough room! The new light is great. Finally added the CO2 canister. Added 2 new fans, one to cool the lights. Due to the new light, heat and humidity have been a bit of a problem. Small humidifier is having no effect, have a larger one on the way.

Brussell13 Keep getting bigger! The bag seeds have gotten very stretchy and tall/skinny. A couple of the Northern Lights and GDPs have also gotten some very tall colas. The CO2 canister tapped out after about a week and a half instead of two. These things are a pretty big ripoff really. Replaced the contents with alcohol ingredients (fermenting yeast and sugar water to create CO2) until my mushroom bag gets here. Changing the canister caused it to fall and break a bag seed. Taped the splits, so far seem to be recovering fine. Had to take a small branch off, but made it into a little clone to turn into a cannabonsai.

Brussell13 Plants are growing well. Smell hasn’t kicked in yet, actually smells less strong at 2.5-3wk flower than it did in veg. Humidity after watering is out of my control. For about 1-2 days after watering I am unable to get the tent below 60-70%. Worried about this for later flowering, so going to go look for a larger dehumidifier (already running two in the room). Bag seed sativas outgrowing everyone, naturally, so changed the lighting to uneven heights to help accommodate. CO2 canister crapped out in only a week, replaced with beer (sugar, water and yeast) and added a CO2 culture bag.

Brussell13 Upper portion of plants seems to be fine with only a few blemishes. Everything below the net, without full light, is dying off. Not sure if that’s normal or not. The portions dying off look a lot like toxicity/burn to me. Been feeding every other watering, may need to lower that some. Installed drip irrigation to reduce work of crawling inside under the net to water by hand. Unfortunately I think I’ll still need to water by hand to help flush salt buildup - the drippers only really wet a small area in the middle and the pump can only water about 1/2 gallon or so every hour. Will be experimenting with that. Humidity finally dropped with huge new humidifier. Temps rising accordingly.

Brussell13 Installed an automatic drip irrigation set last week. Unfortunately the trickle volume has led to some pretty serious nutrient burn, primarily for the bag seed sativas and to some degree the northern lights (GDP seems unaffected, really). I’m guessing it’s salt build up around the main root ball where the drippers are. Flooded them with ph-adjusted water, going to be using this probably from now on with maybe one more feeding, since I will begin flushing in ~2 weeks. Otherwise they seem to be fattening up, pistils are starting to change color.

Brussell13 Everything seems to be getting both deficiencies and toxicities. Always the most confusing part of growing for me. Ph is fine, double checked my meter with test strips. Stepped back on nutrients for the time being, but it hasn’t appeared to help the sativas - they are at least 4-5+ weeks out and the fan leaves are being eaten up quickly. GDP appears to be okay, Northern Lights showing some burn on the edges.

Brussell13 Indicas looking fine for the most part, although some leaves still have burn damage I’ve left since they’re so large and still mostly green. GDP starting to get purple in their leaves. Been a tough couple of weeks for the bag seeds, I think they may have had it. Their leaves have mostly dried and curled up from nutrient abundance. They look about 4 weeks out or so, may just need to be harvested for edibles now.

Brussell13 Plants are changing colors, pistils are receding, and trichomes are cloudy. I’ve been doing only PH-adjusted water for about a week now. Yesterday (4-17-21) I started adding a bit of FloraKleen to begin totally flushing everything out. Planning to harvest on 4-20 or 4-21. Unfortunately will have to harvest the sativa bag seeds early due to scheduling issues, but they’re about cooked already so I’m planning to use these for edibles only (I cook early harvests longer to produce more CBN from the THC). I was a bit worried about harvesting without amber trichomes, but vaped a test bud from each and there’s no shortage of indica couch lock effect, so I will move ahead in a few days and update the final grow log entry then.

Classic Stoney feeling. Not too strong or too weak. Reminds me of cannabis from when I was a teen. Would like to try another seed provider, as this provider’s strains tend to be too airy/larfy.

Brussell13 Overall this was a pretty smooth grow. Dealt with several challenges, but compared to my first grow it was much easier. My last grow was outdoors, with 7-8’ tall trees in coco - it was a watering & feeding nightmare. But this one, almost everything was easy to control and automate inside the tent, I loved that. Such a simplification over my last experience. Some of the lessons I learned on this one: 1. Grow one strain in a tent at a time; The different heights, growth rates, water and nutrient demands were difficult to cater to. 2. Grow in a smaller tent or place the tent away from any objects or walls; I could only get into the tent from the front, and once the scrog then trellis were added it was extremely difficult to care for plants in the back - they got some neglect. In the future will be switching to two 2x4s and do perpetual harvest. 3. Bottled nutrients just don’t work for me. Moving onto trying dry amended soil from now on. 4. Set my scrog lower; I placed it higher because I was watering by hand at the time, but that meant much more veg time than I really wanted. Now that I have drip irrigation I will place it lower.

I love this strain. Wow it is a very powerful heavy indica. This was the first really sleepy weed I’ve grown and really that’s my main use for medical cannabis. I love how relaxed and sleepy it can make you. If you like indica, definitely give this strain a shot.

These were just some seeds I got from my outdoor harvest last year. I have no idea what they were, but the 3 grew differently from each other and appeared to be sativa-dominant. These are grown for bulk material that I use to make my own edibles/tinctures/oils.

Brussell13 The final weight includes 37g of trim from the GDP & Northern Lights plants (I mixed all the trim together so counted it here). I grow plants like this to use for ingestibles. The seeds come from outdoor harvests, so they are free and I don’t give these much attention. Effect is more mild due to early harvest but I enjoy it.
