kingmcdaid today we have gelato (automatic) from female seeds. I'm pretty excited about growing these genetics as this is my first experience with female seeds genetics and is my second ever auto grow. From my research I've learned that this strain is known to have great flavor and packs a punch. so this week we will put it to the test with a fully organic grow. Living soil , worm tea/castings and a clover cover crop will be all this plant needs from start to finish. I will do some LST in a few weeks and possible top it once early on but I will read how she's responding first. After that I'll just keep her happy and see what her genetics can do. If your interested in autos. the strain gelato or living organic growing follow me and watch her grow with me.

kingmcdaid This is week 2 for the "gelato auto" from female seeds. this week it was given it's first dose of worm tea to the soil and I also foliar fed the leaves for disease prevention. I tried to transplant some clover cover to the right side of the pot from a empty container the clover did not transfer well unfortunately and so I now have a bare section in my cover crop I'll likely leave it alone and just proceed without regard to it. the plant it's self looks healthy however it does seem to be behind some of my other varieties in size I won't know until later in the grow if this is a normal trait that is made up later or if something is off. As far as I can see though all is well. In addition a added a diy light mover to the garden to aid them in getting more light and I'm steadily increasing the intensity daily. I'm going to do some LST to this plant but because I'm not convinced of its resilience at this time I may avoid topping. thats all for this week. If your interested in "female seeds" genetics or gelato auto specifically or if you just want to know more about organic/living soil growing please follow me and let's watch her grow!

kingmcdaid What's going on guys! I'm back for week 3 on this gelato automatic from female seeds. last week I wasn't to sure about this plant it seemed a little behind and I wasn't sure if it was going to catch up or not. However , This thing went nuts this week and grew 4X bigger and is now one of the most promising plants in the garden super happy with it this week it's not often I get surprised by a plant but this one got me. Anyway after seeing it do this I decided it should withstand a single topping just fine so this lady got her hair cut today pictures up above. It already had the new tops forming below the top node which was like her begging me top her. So I just graciously obliged her. Anyways I'm now pretty excited to see the continued growth of this strain. There are no signs of any deficiencies and Im hopeful for some awesome development in the coming week so hit that follow button and let's watch this lady grow!

kingmcdaid What's going on guys! Welcome back to week 4 veg on this gelato automatic from female seeds! I once again am amazed at this plant it is easily the most interesting plant I've dealt with in many grows I topped this plant last week and instead of seeing the norm after topping this lady decided to act almost as I fimmed her and shot up 3 tops from the cut aswell as every branch node and one crazy mutant top off the side of another growth tip. I'm totally digging this mutant weird top. Never seen it before on one of my plants can't wait to see it develop. I'm now using some intermittent LST of and on to help draw up the lower node tops and help level things out. For a plant I wasn't so sure of 2 weeks ago To the 6 top wonder today these genetics are starting to really impress me if the yield and potency are half as interesting as this veg cycle I will likely grow this again and probably check out the photoperiod counter part. Other than that She's healthy deficiency free and loving life. Gave her worm tea again this week and have now had to give some extra water on top of that 3 days later for the first time this grow. All is well and looking up stay tuned for more updates. Thank you for reading about my grow and if your interested in anything I'm doing so far hit that follow button and let's watch her grow!

kingmcdaid Welcome to week 5 veg/preflower with this gelato auto from female seeds this plant has been awesome since about week 3 huge gains every week. After the 1 topping she just seems to form three tops at every node all I've been doing is spreading them out it truly is crazy. Past that I had a bit of trouble in the form of fungus gnats clover does have some cons I'm treating with diatomaceous earth after a bit of dawn sprayed surfaces that did affect the leaves in a mildly negative way including a bit of discoloration that wasn't attributable to the light being magnified as I allowed it to dry before turning it back on. Other then that I believe it should recover and keep running smooth I'm excited to see her flowers and pistils have just begun to show so next week's report may be in the flower section. Thank you for reading about my grow. Hit the follow button so you can watch her grow;)!

kingmcdaid Welcome to week six of this gelato automatic from female seeds! This week has been a pretty steady reach for the lady, though I've kept her tied down an moving out instead of up. This plant seems to be doing pretty well and is starting to steadily produce pistils and I'm excited to see her start swelling out soon. This is only the second auto strain I've grown and it was started the same day as my first so all in all I can say that it has been challenging at times to this point getting used to her temperament. However overall I am happy with her development this far and I'm a little over halfway now so thank you for checking out my grow stay with me and hit the follow button so we can watch this lady grow!

kingmcdaid Welcome to week 7 with auto gelato from female seeds we are in full flower and I'm about to give her some incredible bulk which is a organic pk booster with some good reviews I had been using banana peels to boost but I wanted something I could easily dissolve into water for quick release. Other than that she is doing well and should start bulking up soon! Thank you for showing interest in my grow! Hit the follow button to watch this girl keep growing!

kingmcdaid Hi guys welcome back to week 9 of gelato auto from female seeds. Well we are getting pretty close to the end now she's put on a decent amount of bud and the pistils are beginning to retract and she's swelling most of her fan leaves have yellowed and I've defoliated most fans to get more light where it matters. It gives of a smell unlike any strain I've grown before when I walk into the room I catch a sweet chocolatey aroma followed by the more minty citrus scent that I'm accustom to. This plant grew awesome in veg however I don't care so much for the bud spacing It's not that big of a issue except when getting light intensity to lower buds becomes difficult. It's putting on a ton of trichomes and the leaves have different green to yellow tones with bits of occasional purple. Overall I'm happy with the strain and I'm looking forward to the harvest.

kingmcdaid As a whole this was a great auto strain. The potency was comparable to a mid grade photo strain and it had a great chocolate/sweet smell to it. It was not very tolerant of stronger light and showed signs of light stress when other strains were loving it over all the yeild was a decent 2.5 ounces. I will say I greatly prefer photoperiod plants but if i was after a quick harvest between grows I'd consider this strain again.

Nice 👍

Nice grow mate, Auto don't respond well to stress. LST is perfect for autos topping causes to much stress and can stunt them. I have planted a gelato auto myself it was a free seed so I'm keen to see how mine will go. Thank you for sharing your grow

@Godfather_Farmer_and_Friends, yeah I was aware of the risk of stunting growth decided to try any way. Not sure if it affected the harvest negatively or not did learn i don't care much for autos during this grow maybe in a sog set up but other than that there were many factors involving the autos I grew that were lacking in comparison to photo plants
