3percos I am just growing w soil, a happy heart, & water. No nutrients. Using organic soil i bought at home depot. I am seeing my leafs start to sort of crawl down, im concerned. I read it could have been too much water so i stopped watering every day since the start of last week. Can it be the light? Can it be the humidty?

3percos Hello there this is the 1st day of my week five, also TRANSPLANTED her into a 5gal pot which seems well that i am pleased to inform that they have taken quite a little growth spurt after the nutes but also the lower leafs seem to be a little bit of lighter green color than the others... i noticed this before but it seems like now with my LEDs its even a little more noticeable but i guess thats the lighting, this is a clear pic of them with flash.. no LED light on. I am concerned but it isn't such a big difference as you can see.. i read that this can be due to the plant getting a little older, because it's strain, and also because either the plants isnt getting enough nutes or because the nutes are getting absorbed by the top leafs.... pls help me and also can you guys check my feeding schedule, i am in a 5 gal fabric pot now as i mentioned above.. and i also have 2 other seedings in a 3 gal pots.... pls pls help me i am growing in coco coir. 3percos the beautiful ladies are now all in 3 gal pots... i have got to say, WOW. This is my 1st grow and i appreciate all the positive and negative feedback, pls let me know what i can change up to increase my yield and quality overall... my plant is really taking over and now since these 2 White Widows are fresh i hope to get better results on this one, now i identified a couple of my probs as i connected with a few growers so i plan to update and see if the deficiencies clear out or at least stop happening. THEY ARE DOING GREAT, although one question when my lights seem to be off for the 12/12 i switched it too.... they are big time droopy in the dark, and in the light perk up, is this normal? THX 4 LOOKING :D

3percos Ok so really big week now and really big results... i am eating breathing and sleeping w farming knowledge from forums to articles to videos to books, you name it... well i am no master bt wow I am super happy w results I am getting. These three are my babies, i love them. The big pineapple express went through some trimming and is goin through minor lst to get light all over this beast. She is finally developing a really pungent citrus skunky cheesy smell... as of the WW she is showing more developed bud formations but no smell really. My deficiencies seem to be controlled now and my plants are looking healthy. I have set up my carbon filter now since the smell called for it, looking fwd to get my dehumidifier in the next 3 days & yeah so far we are on a GREAT path... thanks everybody for viewing my dairy and for coaching me and giving me feedback... srsly thanks for the support overall :D

3percos Entering week 8 now.... ladies went through a pretty nice trim now that the space is getting limited, smell is very pungent now. I must say i am finally starting to know my babies and have not been going through any burn and the growth has been doing pretty good. The whiteWs are starting to rapidly catch up to my PEX bt she is still a monster. Excited for bud formations to start but looks good so far, THANKS FOR LOOKING and keeping up on my diary all the farmers on here :DDD

3percos Alright well January 1st the PEX seed sprouted... we are now on March 6th and wow I cannot believe how far these babies have got. I am doing watering every 2 days, the small WW usually receives about a quart Gal, while the PEX receives up to 3/4 of a GAL and the other WW (budding) takes a little over half a GAL. I raised the CALMAG by 1ml and the results have been pretty good. For the people that have been following this diary, as you know these 3 plants have been my babies, and they will continue to be my babies... but i will be taking a few steps back from growing after this since i will finally be stepping into FATHERHOOD !!!!!! I hope you guys have enjoyed my story as you can see i started off so bad and on a budget but now... i am fully invested and grow with ALL MY HEART, which luckily has been working and my plants are looking great. THIS BEING SAID I THANK EVERYBODY FOR THE POSITIVISM AND FEEDBACK ON MY GROW... i love this cannabis community. THX4LOOKING ^_______^

Hey, sorry I missed your nutrient question last week but florabloom should do fine. I'd only increase the grow (nitrogen heavy) part if the yellowing deepens. Progress looking real good!

@Jaindoh, thanks dude and btw i saw your diaries.. how do you get your stems that strong, mine is puny compared to yours... also how often should i be watering and do you think a gal is enough?

@3percos, I always followed the GrowWeedEasy (corny name but good site) guides, and the watering guide always said to let the top inch dry out (fungus gnats lay their eggs in moist top inch). The roots need to breathe as well. The fabric pots help a lot with that but you only really want the bottom majority of the pot wet with some air getting to the topmost bits of the roots. With one plant I'd be surprised if half a gallon every 3 days wasn't TOO much. Gardeners always say "water infrequently but thoroughly" and I find cannabis in soil no different. As for trunk diameter, I use coco coir which gives a lot more vigor than I got out of bagged soil. Living soil I've seen give really good results like coco but I don't have a compost heap with 200 bux of amendments lol. Training increases stem and branch diameter, as well as supplemental potassium silicate (though this is much less needed in soil). That combined with my strategy of keeping the plant low contribute heavily to their trunk/branch diameter and vigor. Bigger trunks = better water/nutrient flow. Add a healthy root system, good humidity/temperature (so important, affects how plant breathes/wicks moisture from medium), and dense nodes from keeping your lights close, and I get good results.
