Walloom First week of veg nutrients. Complete noob and first grow but did research heavily, started nutes at 100% and within 24hrs she was showing nute burn. Flush and restarted at 50% and she showed signs of stress and nitrogen deficiency. Veins on leaves were rich green and leaves were showing yellowing similar to a halo on leaves. Finally, corrected nutes to 75% and she seems to be thriving with no issues. Did run into a fear of root rot due to temps, thankfully was discoloration from hydroton that I didn’t rinse well enough, ph was too high and water was warm from a few days of growing. Last, utilizing a 5 gal. dwc with 4 gal. of liquid, lowered it to 3 gal. to allow air spacing for roots, water level was touching bottom of net pot.
Since, I can’t control water temp, and am using 3 gal. of water. How often should I change out my water? Currently, checking her several times a day because my set-up creates some many variables.
Hello.. Hope all is well.. She looks nice and healthy.. Well done.. It is recommended to change ur water weekly in all active hydro systems.. Just top up during week wot ever ur feed program is on then empty remaining.. Sum nutrients and boosters last longer(more stable in resivour) and say will last 14 days but to stay safe and keep up gud husbandry of ur plants id change weekly.. Stay safe n hope this helps.. 👍
Was contemplating purchasing some type of root inoculation stuff. Considering this is my first grow and going with just base nutrients. How important will a root inoculation solution be? And just in general?
Roots are the heart of the plant, use one.
They are the basis for a bountiful harvest, one must have an outstanding root system for outstanding Buds.
I use Kangaroots and have experienced good results.
Walloom Mainly focusing maintaining proper ph and water volume this week. How warm the tent currently gets have a fear of root rot. Overall, she seems to be healthy and happy. No change to feed or light schedule. Ended week by adding a cold mist humidifier and duct fan. Fan would help maintain temps but drops humidity too much solo.

Walloom Really started to use tie downs this week with wire tie-downs. Initially plant show shock but recover after a day.

Walloom First signs of flowering, switched to a early flower feed schedule. Experimented with a beer cooler for bucket, fail. Went back to original bucket and checking ph twice a day now. Roots are happier.

Walloom She is thriving now, conditions are satisfactory for her taste. Removed twist-ties from lst and did some light defoliation. Have read it’s not recommended for auto but many old leaves weren’t receiving any light and were yellowing and dying. Second week on light flower feed. Doubled in size this week.
Anyone knows what causes a single leaf to show rust patterns, almost like cal/mag deficiency. Whole plant looks healthy except for this one leaf, literally. DWC, and I use tap water
Walloom Losing track of days, here we are at least I know it’s week 7. Changed nutes to a mid flowering feed schedule. Still at 75% potency. Change of light schedule is for other babies growing.

Walloom So she is a NL Auto and for some reason is super tall, buds are fattening and pistils are beginning to change color. Whole grow is just base nutes and doing well.
clay pebbles cause a lot of problems they soak up like a sponge and takes ages like a sponge to rinse out
you could take majority of that away and put rockwool in its place problems solved
@@Resin_Randy,
Exactly, my first auto and read on average they’re about 3ft. She is too tall, my tent is about 8ft and still had to bend top kola because buds and leaves were getting light burned

@Jef79 Thank you, read several different times to change. Will most likely go with a weekly change, even with a dwc should I regularly check water lvl? Besides changing it weekly.
@Walloom,-yes if she needs top ups then just make up accordingly to your feed program ..i like to let mine drink roughly 10ltrs then top her up from 15ltr bucket with 10ltrs of water and add nutrients and adjust ph.. Let ur water sit for bit to get room temp b4 u put into resivour.. Also.. check water levels daily along with ph values if possible for u to do so.. She will drink more the bigger she gets..hope she turns out well and look forward to see end results.. 😂👍
