NewGarden14 First Grow Alert! Day 1: Bean went into the pot. Directly sowed into all organic living soil with organic 4-4-4 Down to Earth amendments, worm castings, compost, coco coir, perlite and biochar. Sprinkled mycorrhizae over the seeds before sowing and lightly sprayed with water. Day 2: 24 hours from sowing and the seed hasn’t broken through the soil yet.

NewGarden14 BCN is growing really well and is pushing out roots like whoa. Transplanted her from her seed container to her new fabric pot with a bunch of great amendments (down to earth 4-4-4, blood meal, humid acid, biochar, compost, perlite, fox farms ocean soil and coco coir). I also topped the plant at the 3rd node and will give her a week to recover from the topping and transplant before we start doing some LST. The tangerine dream auto seems to be growing a bit slower, but I don’t mind. As long as I’m able to push its growth before it kicks into flower. Probably will do a seed sprouted tea and then amend the topsoil in the next week.

NewGarden14 Man, sorry for no updates these past few weeks, things got busy, but I’ll try to do a play by play - ok, so I’m week 3 I topped the BCN since she’s a photo she’ll have plenty of time to recover. I also started LST on both plants to try to get them big and bushy. The Tangerine Dream seemed like she got off to a slower start, but now she’s in the zone and things are starting to move.

NewGarden14 This week is going great. Environment is seemingly dialed in. There’s a small fungus gnat issue, but otherwise we’re doing pretty good. The smell is starting to show up too - whenever I touch the BCN there’s a distinct candied grapefruit smell on my fingers and the tangerine dream smells like... a funky mandarin orange or something. It’s not quite as sweet, but it’s totally intoxicating. Plants are green and new growth is healthy. I did a seed sprouted tea made from corn which they both responded well to.

NewGarden14 The growth is super tight on both of these plants as we move into week 5. I think the light was too close which meant they didn’t need to stretch to get it... either way, they’re short but happy. I re-ammended the BCN’s medium with down to earth blood meal (12-0-0) and 4-4-4 since she’s a photo and we’re staying in veg mode till my auto is done, and then I added 4-8-2 and seabird guano (0-12-0) to the tangerine dream so she’s got what she needs to make nice flowers. I watered all that in with a compost tea to re-up the microbes. The plants are happy as can be and so am I.

NewGarden14 This is deceptive because my auto (the Tangerine Dream Auto from Grower’s Choice) is full on into flower. She started a stretch and I feel like she’s growing up even though I’m trying to hold her down. The buds are small but we’ve got at least 3 (hopefully more like 5) more weeks to stack - fingers crossed we can get this girl to stack up heavy. The BCN Critical XXL remains in vegetative as it’s a photoperiod and we’re still on 18/6. She gave up 2 cuts this week which so far look pretty good - it’s my first time cutting clones so fingers crossed they make it. I did a defoliation on both plants to help them work bud sites. I’m debating wether to hold onto mom and flower the clones or to flower the whole bunch. It’d be nice to get really good with one strain and work it over time, but I’ve got so little space and there is so much to try I really want to dabble around without having to hold stuff. So ... trying to figure out my priorities here. I’m thinking that I’ll get to the end of this auto and then flower everything off. I think that’s everything I’ve got. HMU with questions 🤘

NewGarden14 Half in veg half in flower. I always knew the BCN was gonna get a little extra time in veg, still debating wether I keep the big plant as a mom and cut clones or flower out everything as soon as the auto’s run is finished. We shall see 🤪

@Stuyvyjuana, no way! Yours looks awesome! Mines a total low rider, so I have no idea how yours got to a foot - I’m over here stuck at 5/6 inches tall 😬
