Sinktip The Auto Cheese CBD are growing quickly. They will outgrow the pots I have them in fairly soon. Planning to put them in 3 gallon black plastic pots but will see what I can find for free.

Sinktip Seedlings are looking robust after I added some soil to the base of the stems. They were planted too shallow and were falling over.

Sinktip The five CBD Auto Cheese are growing nicely. They are all from 10 to 14 cm and looking fairly healthy although I think may be root bound. I noticed a little yellowing of the leaves maybe. Going to transplant these today.

Sinktip Started some training this week. Plants were all at a clear third node this week so I FIMed 3, topped 1 and left one with no cuts at all. They responded pretty well and just when they were looking healed up, I bent them all over to see about some LST. Already the plants are turning toward the sky searching for light. Will see how these end up. Should have left them with one of the unnouched as a control.

Sinktip Plants are in major veg stage. Lots of growth. The one I topped seemed to really respond well with two main stems and others popping up from the sides. The 3 that were FIMed are also doing ok but I don't see any definite extra stems. Maybe they will explode with more soon. They are all healthy and happy and doing well in their organic compost mixed with peat moss.

Sinktip Huge growth spurt from the girls. It has been hot and sunny and they've been spending full days in direct sunshine. They've doubled in height with FIM'd plants, topped plant and control plant all sending it. Started seeing flowers midway through last week. Started fertilizing with Backcountry Blend Bloom Formula August 6

Sinktip Temperatures in my area dropped off significantly. Cloudy days and rain. The girls spent most of the last week in the greenhouse getting only afternoon sun if anything - at least they were warm. Flowers are growing, lots of flowers so we will see how well this holds up. Fingers crossed for a hot warm late summer and early fall - these will take another 5-6 weeks at least.

Sinktip The 5 plants are growing well. I haven't fed them in a couple of weeks so they are due. Accepted wisdom from the hydro store where I bought the flower food was to feed 1x every 2-3 weeks. They are starting to fill out. Different cheese fragrance is becoming noticeable, although I would not say it's anything like the blue cheese stank some speak of - at least not yet!

Sinktip These plants are short and compact and the buds are really filling out nicely. I think there will be a pretty decent yield when they mature.

Sinktip The Auto Cheese CBD seems to have stabilized in terms of growth and weight. Weather is definitely fall like her now - cool, rainy and overcast. I'm chopping some today and at weekly intervals just to see if there's a difference. Should be an interesting experiment. * Cut Cheese 1 today and its obviously early. Buds were very soft and tender compared to the last few I've harvested. #2 gets chopped next week. Sacrilege to say, but I'm actually getting a little tired of the low TCH, high CBD (Auto Critical CBD) I grew last time - but my wife loves it in edibles. I'd like to find a high thc/cbd strain and get the best of both worlds...

Grow Questions

Opinions needed! I am having trouble determining when the trichomes are clear vs cloudy. Could someone take a look at the closeups of the buds and offer their opinion? Am I delusional thinking I will notice a difference between a harvest today vs 2-3 weeks from now?

This was a big struggle for me on my first harvest as I didn't want my GC to go Amber. But like the others said to really be able to tell you need a USB microscope or a jewlers loupe. The loupe in my opinion is definitely easier to use. Trust look through the loop and you will go oh wow. And 2-3 weeks can make all the difference. As they go full cloudy the buds will also go through the "swell" and your yield will definitely be higher and THC more potent. Clear/cloudy triches will get you high but your highest THC content is going to be full cloudy with some Amber tint. To much Amber will give you a more couch lock affect. I have a picture on my phone that has a really good example of each I'll try and post it. Just really hard to tell in that pic. Get you a loupe and take a pic through it. You'll get a much better idea of what your looking at. Go look at my Green Crack journal. It has some loupe pics of trichomes in it.

It's hard to say u need a 60x jewels loope. And if ur not familiar with trichomes u need to monitor for early flowering till late. So u know how they change and start clear. But guessing u still have a few weeks to go. Good luck 👍

If your going to grow weed buy a 40x led lighted jewelers loupe off amazon they work perfectly. You can also try looking in a coin shop they may have something similar. Don't wast your money on those little microscopes they're garbage. You can use your cell phone then blow the photo up but you won't get the true coloration of the trichomes. Take your buds with 5% to 30 % amber with mostly cloudy/milky trichomes. Hope this helps. 👍

I really enjoyed growing this strain. A very nice light buzz and happy, positive vibe. Lost most of it to bud rot.

Looking good bro! Hard to keep it just down to 4 plants eh?! We’re on van island now. 2 weeks of pink fishing on the east coast! Tight lines.

@SosdogAndMissMuffet, It definitely is tough to keep it under 4. If you get tired of the Pinks, try the big Northern Coho Conuma river estuary on Nootka inlet. There's a pretty nice fishing/camping/hotel resort there too.
the end.
