Gr33nFi3ld Hello again. Here's my setup: 2 x 4 Mars Hydro Tent 260watt HLG Qb equivalent to a 600w blurple 6" Can-lite carbon filter 6" Hyperfan Stealth 2 x 6" hurricane clip on fans 5 gallon smart pot as the final pot 12 ounce solo cup as starter pot Using my own soil mix which consists of peat moss and perlite, cow manure and forest soil. I amend my soil with cal mag supplement before the transplant and will be giving her from week 4 onwards. Sticking to BioBizz nutes as always. Let's go! - Day 1 she's finally decided to show up! Still yet to proper come up but I'm counting this as Day 1 to fall in line with the rest. - Day 2 true leaves have appeared. Hoping she goes well. - Day 3 all is well - Day 4 second set is starting to come through. - Day 5 all good - Day 6 all is well - Day 7 all good

Gr33nFi3ld - Day 8 all good. Gonna transplant her by tomorrow at least. - Day 9 transplanted her in her final pot with some Great White sprinkled in the planting hole. Root ball with soil nearly fell apart so I hope she's okay. Amended the soil with Elemental Calmag and Nectar of the gods one shot. Also gave 1L watering with stims. Let's see how she goes. - Day 10 all good. Looks like she didn't even notice the transplant. - Day 11 1L plain watering today. All good. - Day 12 all good - Day 13 1L watering with nutes and mycos today. She's going well tho. - Day 14 all is well

Gr33nFi3ld - Day 15 1L plain watering today. All good - Day 16 all good - Day 17 1L plain watering today - Day 18 all good - Day 19 1L watering with nutes and mycos. Keeping the veg nutes low for now to avoid toxicity - Day 20 all good. She's really short and bushy. Gonna be tough to train her but I'll attempt it later next week. - Day 21 1L plain watering today. She's looking good.

Gr33nFi3ld - Day 22 all good. Mephisto wasn't joking when they said it'll be difficult to train. Not much stretch to her at all so far. In any case still going to attempt later this week. We'll see how she goes. - Day 23 all good. - Day 24 all is well. Gonna attempt to train her tomorrow as well as give her a feed. - Day 25 1L watering with nutes, mycos and calmag. Decided to start her cal mag early to avoid any issues in the future. Also kept the fish mix at 0.5 so as to avoid a nitrogen toxicity. She certainly wasn't easy to train but she definitely needed it as her lower branches were struggling a bit with space. I'll probably do some more LST when the next watering is due. - Day 26 all good. She's already recovered from the training from yesterday. I'll LST her some more tomorrow. - Day 27 heavy defoliation today. Removed the majority of the fan leaves to allow more light to the undergrowth. The lower growth seemed to be a bit deformed due to lack of light so hopefully this helps. Also trained the lower growth so that they won't hinder the other bud sites when stretching. Also gave her 1L plain watering - Day 28 all I gotta say is holy fuck! She bounced back so fast from yesterday it's amazing! I'll give her another defoliation in a few days time but Damn!

Gr33nFi3ld - Day 29 2L plain watering today. Had to up the watering as she is going to go into flower this week and usually my girls start drinking more around this time. She's looking fucking bushy tho. Gonna have to defoliate her again before her next feed. - Day 30 all good. Defoliation and feed due tomorrow - Day 31 2L watering with nutes, mycos and calmag today. Had to give her another defoliation because she was acting as if she had never been defoliated. Secured her training a bit as well to open her up a little more. Started on the bloom nutes and I've now switched to bio grow over the fish mix as per the recommendations from BioBizz. Let's see how she reacts. - Day 32 well she doesn't cease to surprise me. She's bounced back from the second defoliation really well. Might give her another defoliation later this week but we'll see how she goes. She really doesn't mind at all. Trying to do all the defoliation the day of the feeding just before I feed her so that she bounces back quicker with new nutes in her system. So far so good. - Day 33 2L plain watering today. Removed a couple of shoots under the canopy and the plant can focus on the larger bud sites. All good. - Day 34 all good. She's recovered really well so I think it's time for another defoliation tomorrow before I stop entirely. She's a bushy plant this one but I love how she prays towards the light and has an even canopy. - Day 35 more defoliation today as well as removal of any bud sites below the canopy so that all her energy is directed into the main colas. Judging by her record she should recover by tomorrow. Also did a bit of LST to let the lights penetrate a bti better. Also gave her 2L plain watering. All good

Gr33nFi3ld - Day 41 all good. She's recovered well as usual from her defoliation yesterday. Might give her another round of defoliation before her feed this week. - Day 42 gave her another severe defoliation. Hopefully the last one as I do want to mess with her anymore than I have. I'm just pushing my luck now. Gave her a 2L watering with nutes, mycos and calmag. Let's see how she goes. - Day 43 she's bounced back but not as quick as the last time so I think that was it for defoliation for this one. Let's see how she goes. - Day 44 2L plain watering today. She's bushed up again but gonna leave her as is. Definitely not an easy one to train since her main stem gets so thick and is fighting against my LST. All is well tho - Day 45 all good. She's bounced back again so now I'm just going to let her do her thing. - Day 46 2L watering with nutes, mycos and calmag as she wasn't showing any signs of burning so decided she might as well do with another feed. All good - Day 47 couldn't help myself and gave her another defoliation. She was just too bushy for my liking so this will be the last time. Looking good and starting to frost up a bit.

Gr33nFi3ld - Day 50 all good. Defoliated her slightly so that light could penetrant the canopy as she was too bushy and was worried about the development of the buds underneath. - Day 51 still too bushy today so I had no choice but to defoliate. Such frosty leaves it's insane. Hopefully I haven't caused too much of a dent in the final yield. - Day 52 all good. She's still bushy but I'm leaving her alone for now. - Day 53 2L watering with nutes, mycos and calmag. She seems to be doing well. - Day 54 couldn't resist anymore. Decided to defoliate some of the leaves that were in between all the buds sites to try and avoid any mold issues. I'm not a fan of defoliating this late in flowering but in this case I didnt have much choice. Super bushy plant - Day 55 2L plain watering today. All good though. She's super frosty. - Day 56 all is well. Hoping the defoliation helped with the airflow between the buds

No sign of nute burn so I'm upping the nutes but keeping the grow nutes low until I cut it out next week. - Day 58 all good - Day 59 2L plain watering today. She's super bushy still. Worried there's not enough light getting through but honestly there's not much i can do right now. - Day 60 all is well - Day 61 2L watering with nutes, mycos and calmag. Gr33nFi3ld - Day 78 all is well. She should be ready for the chop soon. She's got some lovely shades of pink and I'm just waiting for some amber trichs for now. - Day 79 her colors are slowly starting to fade but unfortunately you can't tell from the pics. Gave her a 2L plain watering in any case. The last watering should be in 2 days and I'll harvest 2 days after that. - Day 80 all good. Still milky trichs on the buds but I'll wait a couple more days before I harvest. - Day 81 2L plain watering today. What's supposed to be it's last watering until harvest in two days. - Day 82 all is well. She should be ready for the chop tomorrow but I'll decide then.

Week 12. Harvest

Happy Harvest Day!

Growing this one was a really challenge. She's an EXTREMELY bushy plant. I kid you not. I was able to defoliate her 3 times in one week and she still bounced back as if she hadn't been touched. I think this is why she took a bit longer than what was reported. She smells like a dream. Berries and sweetness pour off the buds and fills up the entire room with dankness. Towards the end of flowering her Calyxes have taken a beautiful shade of pink and is more prominent in the up skirt shots of her buds. Such a pretty plant to grow but I highly recommend indoors for this one as outdoor would most likely give you mould problems. The buds were stacked so close together that the entire plant was dripping with frost. This is the frostiest plant I've grown to date. Beats the Gorilla Glue by a mile! I've trimmed her the best that I could and I've popped her in the MyHerbsNow dryer for 96 hours. She should be done by then for curing. I'll give a report on the taster buds when they're ready. Overall a very hard plant to trim and grow but we'll worth it in terms of smell so far. Update 1: After about 92 hours in the MyHerbsNow the buds were dried and the stems were breaking quite nicely. Ended up with 44.4g of dried bud which is a little low but I'm happy with the results. The buds are still extremely frosty and have a lovely smell to it even if it's just finished drying. After smoking the first sample I must say I really like this one. Very fruity/berry taste to it with a nice earthy and sweet note to it. Hoping the cure will bring the flavours out a bit more. Popped the buds in the Cvault with Boveda packs and I'll update in 2 weeks. Update 2: Love smoking this strain. She has a nice balance of earthy and sweetness. The only change I would make is to pull the buds out of the dryer about a day before as there wasn't really any smell coming from the jars once opened but she immediately stinks up the place once you chop it up. Love chopping up the buds as you end up with flecks of pink everywhere in the mix. Definitely will grow this one again but without training her.

Gr33nFi3ld Fuck me this plant was both easy and a pain to grow. It was great because it bounced back from every defoliation really really quickly. It's a bitch because it bounces back so quickly. It's a super bushy plant and you'll have a pain in the ass trying to trim it if you let the veg get out of hand. That being said all the defoliation will stunt the growth a bit and you'll have to wait a bit longer for harvest. She's a super frosty plant towards the end of her cycle and she'll easily overpower anything else you have in your grow tent. She puts on a lovely display of colors towards the end and you'll be well surprised to see the colors penetrate all the way down to the center of the buds once harvesting. Be prepared to have a super sticky trimming scissors when done and you'll even get a decent ball of hash to taste once done. I'll update once dried and cured. Update 1: After 94 hours in the MyHerbsNow the buds were pretty much dried and the stems were breaking quite nicely. Might've been able to pull it out sooner but I decided to stick with the recommended times. No hay smell, the buds are frosty as hell and it was a pretty quick turnaround. Sampling the first smoke before it goes in for a proper cure in the Cvaults with some Boveda packs. Tastes really nice to be honest. Very fruity/berry taste with a nice earthiness and sweet note to it. Hoping the cure will bring out more flavors. I'll update again in two weeks. So far pretty impressed with the MyHerbsNow. Will definitely use it again. Update 2: the only change I'd make is to pull the buds out of the dryer a day earlier than recommended as the end result was a little too dry for my liking. That said once you chop up the buds the smell instantly fills up the room and you get a nice display of pink within the chopped buds. Nice balance of earthiness and sweet berries to the smoke and will be growing again in the future but without training her as she stays fairly small.

Got some plants (random seeds) just like this (though I doubt they're autos or whatever you got there, since they've been growing for quite a bit longer) that grew through winter/bad conditions. I don't even bother with them. They really don't like low light conditions. Probably suited for like the desert. Semi-random info for future reference. These are the sort of plants you might want to consider biasing your nutrients with. Consider that they have very thick leaves and small size (likely for water storage, minimizing exposed surface area, like succulents, as these sort of plants are often found in very hot/dry areas) and short node spacing and lots of overall density, so you might want to lower potassium and node related stuff a bit. Also, you could look at certain growth hormones, I think it was gibberillin (assuming you don't increase auxins too) which causes plants to stretch a bit (could be useful). Dunno if it'll be useful, but that's some of the sort of stuff I'm considering when I plant their offspring. If not, hybridize them further since they're super inefficient in most conditions here.

Ssomeguycommented6y ago
@Gr33nFi3ld, Uh, I'm not sure hey, since I haven't actually specifically used it. And there are quite a few growth hormones and regulators. But a guy I know (med_in_tropic) used some coconut water/milk (far too much, by his own admission) and he got very stretchy plants. "Coconut milk (coconut water) is widely used in tissue culture because it contains (A) Auxin (B) Cytokinin (C) Ethylene (D) Gibberellin. " All 4 of those are growth hormones/regulators. Unfortunately I can't actually recommend dosages or anything like that and I don't know relative amounts of those things in the coconut water, but for the purpose of stretching a bit of extra gibberellin is probably the interesting stuff. Those growth regulators are usually the sort of thing you use very little of and try to be careful with. About the potassium, I'm kinda guessing about it, based on my understanding of how it's used in the plant (as in, it's constantly reused and not a building block like nitrogen or carbon) and reading about node count/spacing related to it. Since those are small plants (relative to say a typical sativa) it might end up with too much potassium. It's not like 100% sure info, a bit of guesswork that might be relevant to those sort of plants.
Gr33nFi3ld
Gr33nFi3ldcommented6y ago
@@Ssomeguy, coconut water?? Shit! I've got that in abundance here. I'll do some research to see how much I should add to my feeds to get a bit stretchier. Could be my lights were too low before and since then I've raised them significantly cuz of a big sativa dominant taking up all the vertical space. Definitely sounds like you know what you're talking about. I'm weak when it comes to the knowledge behind all the botany knowledge. Mind if I ask where you got the info from so I can start reading up? Thanks again for the help man. I'll definitely follow med in tropic.

Ssomeguycommented6y ago
@Gr33nFi3ld, Ah sorry, no specific links about the info, thousands of documents, articles, forum posts, etc. It's generally pretty obscure research. I wouldn't necessarily say that I know what I'm talking about (some things, sure), but I've read a lot and have at least a little experience growing these plants.
