Gamfin 📓 Welcome to my new diaries! This time I am finally growing photoperiodic plants again. For this fall season, I chose 3 nice strains from 3 different breeders: Iced Up Cherries by THCTitan (Square One Genetics, Robin Hood Seeds), Blue Zushi by Dutch Passion and Cookie Casket by Barney's farm. All seeds germinated after just 24 hours. I planted them in EazyPlugs, as always and put them under the humidity dome. But this time, I really fucked up. I put the dome at my southside window and went to university. It was a rather hot day with a lot of sun and 30 °C, so the new seedlings were COOKED in the dome. When I came home that evening, I was forced to see that I killed the Ice Up Cherries seedling and the Blue Zushi seedling. They were just too young and vulnerable for that heat and sun. Miraculously, the Cookie Casket survived as you can see in the picture. So I threw 2 new seeds of Iced Up Cherries and Blue Zushi in a glass and this time, I was more careful. Both germinated again after just 24 hours and went into an EazyPlug. Let's talk about this specific strain. Iced Up Cherries was made by THCTitan by crossing Caked Up Cherries (Wedding Cake x Cherry Cookies) from Relentless Genetics and Banana Butter Cups (BBC) from THCTitan himself. It should taste like sour artifical cherry and gas. I am really, really stoked to finally grow something from Titan. He even was generous and gave me 6 seeds in the pack instead of 5, so my fuckup is covered by him lol. Let's hope, I don't fuck up again. ☀️ // Day 1 🌱 Today, on 29th august 2025, I transplanted the EazyPlugs into an EazyBlock. Normally, I would wait some more days but I am not at home over the weekend and I want to make sure they have enough moisture und space. Hopefully they're still alive on sunday. The lights are just at 10 % so the PPFD is around 100-150.

Gamfin ☀️ // Day 3 🌱 I can gladly say after my weekend trip that the plants really like their new home. Great progress for this small seedlings. They're healthy and start to form their leafs. I start the count now as the first day of veg, 3rd day overall. 💦 Watering: - 💊 Fertilizer: - 💡 Light: 150 PPFD on all 3 seedlings. I don't want to stress them and really let them cruise. Both lights are on 10 %. ☀️ // Day 5 🌱 Small progress, they go their way. I watered them today with pH=5.8 water infused with root juice. The Blue Zushi seems 1 µ ahead but that's fine. 💦 Watering: pH = 5.8 💊 Fertilizer: 4ml / l Root Juice 💡 Light: 150PPFD at 10% ☀️ // Day 7 🌱 The progress is really well and I'm confident that she will become a gorgeous plant. I went up to 20 % with the lights to start progessing the intensity during the vegetative phase. 💦 Watering: - 💊 Fertilizer: - 💡 Light: 210-250 PPFD / 13.5-14 DLI at 20% ☀️ // Day 9 🌱 Just watering, no new pictures. I prepared their 11 l (3gal) end pots with BioBizz all mix. They will be transplanted in the upcoming 1-2 days. 💦 Watering: approximately 0.1 5l with pH = 5.8 💊 Fertilizer: Early grow nutrients 💡 Light: 210-250 PPFD / 13.5-14 DLI at 20%

Gamfin ☀️ // Day 10 🌱 Damn. I fucked something up again haha. I feel like a newbie because when I increased the light intensity from 10 - 20 % on day 7, I forgot to put it on schedule again. So the plants now had 72h of light. I know, technically you can veg on 24/0 but I did not do that from the beginning so maybe it stressed them. Besides that, I transplanted the plants into their end pot which is a 11 l (3gal) fabric pot. The roots from the Iced Up Cherries are by far the most evolved. Very, very nice rooting and she looks overall very nice & happy. They had now some darkness and I enabled their prior schedule. So they have light now for 18 more hours and then finally get their deserved 6 hours of darkness again. 💦 Watering: 1 l with pH = 6.4 💊 Fertilizer: Early stage nutrients and Mycotrex for the transplant. 💡 Light: 200-250 PPFD / 13.15-14 DLI at 20% ☀️ // Day 13 🌱 This plant continues to be absolutely amazing. She is much further than the rest which is probably due to her ridiculous rooting. She does her thing and is growing beautiful leafs and is also growing side branches. I don't really know what to think about the antocyans production in the leaf stems and at the top of the main stem but she looks so healthy that I really shouldn't mind. The temperatures are perfect as is the humidity and the soil is still moist and full of nutrients so she should be really happy. 💦 Watering: - 💊 Fertilizer: - 💡 Light: 200-250 PPFD / 13.15-14 DLI at 20%

Gamfin ☀️ // Day 17 🌱 This plant is already a unit. Look at her vigorous grow. I knew she was a winner when I saw her EazyPlug rooting but she just continues with her amazing exploding. That's why I already topped her today. I just removed her newest head by hand, that way I can choose which 4 of the upcoming side brachnes I want to keep out of the 6-8 that are there. She also has a moist enough soil, that's why she does not need new feeding it. I pre moistered the soil too much when I prepared it. That is quite dangerous I think because seedling do not drink much and if every inch of soil around them is moist, she can die because of suffocation, right? But this is not what happend here. I am glad that she is such a winner for now and I am sure she will kick back in a few days after the topping. ☀️ // Day 20 🌱 The plant got 2L of water with early nutrients on day 18. The side branches responded well to the topping and started to grow nicely. I removed the lowest pair of branches since they always will be shorter and weaker to the rest just because they're the lowest. Other than that, nothing really to share. I hope that the Blue Zushi had no virus because the Cookie Casket looks now funky too and I don't now why. For this Iced Up Cherries, the rooting continues to be good, they already came out at the bottom of the pot in large quantity. 💦 Watering: 2L pH = 6.4 💊 Fertilizer: Root Juice, Silic Rock and CalMag 💡 Light: 200-250 PPFD / 13.15-14 DLI at 20% ☀️ // Day 21 🌱 I removed the upper leafs that are shadowing most of the canopy and removed also the new forming branches on the top because I don't want them to have a too huge hight advantage. She looks gorgeous and I can't wait to train her further when the side branches are a little longer. ☀️ // Day 22 🌱 Got 2.5L of water with veg nutrients. She starts to drink more, the EazyBlog was completely dry this morning. Not the whole soil but the parts were most of the roots are, definetely. I will see how she reacts to more feeding, because everything is going extremly well for her. 💦 Watering: 2.5L pH = 6.5 💊 Fertilizer: Bio Grow, Acti-Vera, CalMag, Root Juice 💡 Light: 200-250 PPFD / 13.15-14 DLI at 20%

Gamfin ☀️ // Day 24 🌱 Great progress! I started with some low stress training and I keep defoliating the top branches to minimize their height advantage compared to the side branches. She is healty and vigorous, I'm so pleased by this plant. It's my best photoperiodic plant to date, when it comes to vigour and easyness. I try to form a canopy as even as possible, without using a trellis net. I want to be able to move my plants in and out of the tent so I don't want to use one. Let's see if the phenos are generous and let me train them evenly, even with the stretch in flower (that's not really in my power tho). 💦 Watering: 2.5 l with pH = 6.4 💊 Fertilizer: BioGrow, Acti-Vera, CalMag, Silic Rock 💡 Light: 200-250 PPFD / 13.15-14 DLI at 20% ☀️ // Day 27 🌱 Yeah, I don't not what to say. This genetic is insane and she will be a monster, much bigger than the rest in the tent and I am kinda scared haha. Thinking about topping the side branches but the soil volume is not thaaaaat big. That‘s why I don't want to have too many big branches to not underfeed her in flower. So I don't really know how to proceed. The Blue Zushi needs some more weeks and by then this plant will be absolutely crazy. 💡 Light: 330-400 PPFD / 22-25 DLI at 30%

Gamfin ☀️ // Day 31 🌱 She got some water and nutrients on day 30. Beautiful plant, very vigorous but I spotted the first sign of something beeing not 100 % fine. Some new leafs are having yellowing leaf tips which can be a sign that she is a heavy feeder, right? She is big for the age so maybe I need to give her a little bit more grow fertilizer when watering her. Other than that, everything is smooth with her. I already lollipopped her in a wise that I removed the fresh grow from the bottom of her stems. Those are normally not getting anywhere because of the distance to the light and the shadow of the leafs. 💦 Watering: 3 l with pH = 6.3 💊 Fertilizer: BioGrow, Acti-Vera, CalMag, Silic Rock 💡 Light: 330-400 PPFD / 22-25 DLI at 30% ☀️ // Day 34 🌱 Both plants got 3 L of water with nutrients today. The IUC drinks as much as always, and the Cookie Casket finally got some water again. I skipped the Grow fertilizer because I think that the soil mix was a little too strong for the plants, that's why some leaf tips are yellowing and became crispy. Today I also defoliated and lollipopped the bottom third of the plant. I wish to flip to flower on sunday but actually I wanted to wait until she shows her sex because Titan recommends to only flip from clone and if you flip from seed, you should wait until pistils are showing, according to him. The problem is that this is not the case yet. But the plant would just get to big if I wait 1-2 more weeks. It's a small tent, so I do not want to get it 100 % crowded in winter because of mold. It's quite a dilemma.. 💦 Watering: 3 l with pH = 6.4 💊 Fertilizer: Acti-Vera, CalMag, Silic Rock 💡 Light: 330-400 PPFD / 22-25 DLI at 30%

Gamfin ☀️ // Day 39 🌱 She was getting a bit too bright for my taste, that's why I gave her a 500ml shot of water with 1 ml / l BioGrow to deliver some nitrogen. Today marks week 6 and this plant looks absolutely beautiful. I really want to kick the plants into flower but the fact that both did not show pistils yet keeps me waiting. That's because of two reasons: 1.) THCTitan as the breeder himself recommends to only switch to flower from clone. And if you flower from seed, you should wait until the plants show their sex (in this feminized case, pre-flower pistils). I think that has to do with early stress factors to minimize the hermaphroditism chance because kicking in flower early can induce some stress in certain strains. 2.) The flowering times should be accurate. I want to harvest both plants on the same day. The Cookie Casket has a predicted flowering time of 63-70 days while the IUC has one of 63 days. So technically, I should be able to harvest them both at a very good time. But that is only the case when both start to flower at the same time. When both plants show their sex, the time has come where they are capable of reproduction and a switch to a 12/12 shedule would cause them instanlty to switch to flower. The dilemma is that I do not want to wait much longer. The plants are already quite big and should stretch up to 2 times. If I veg them for too long, the tent gets 100% crowded which makes growing in winter much more stressful. So I give them several more days but I will switch to 12/12 in this upcoming week, no matter what. I increased the power of the LEDs from 40 to 50% but reduced the light hours to 16 hours. I want to drive gently into flowering. 💦 Watering: 0.5 l with pH = 6.3 💊 Fertilizer: BioGrow 💡 Light: 400-450 PPFD / 22-25 DLI at 50% ☀️ // Day 43 🌱 Yeah, I hate the slowlyness of organic systems. I am mad at me that I recognized too late that she needs more juice. Shouldn't have been blinded by the yellowing leaf tips, I thought I burned it with the All Mix but in reality, I was just underfeeding her which continued for almost a week until the soil was dry again. And now I need to wait half a week more or so until the bacteria have produced enough for the plant. So the symptoms of deficiencies at the old leafs are getting worse. New leafs look healthy tho but I should just do better. This plant is more than amazing and I should totally meet her needs. I just hope that the increased feeding helps her in the upcoming days and that she comes back as strong as she deserves. The plant got 3L on day 40 with more BioGrow and also a first feeding of BioBloom since I want to kick her into flower this week. The light is now at 60 % but I increased the distance to the plants to not interfere with the stretch. I also reduced the light hours from 18/12 to 16/12 to 14/12 and want to give her time till sunday until I kick them into flower. 💦 Watering: 3 l with pH = 6.4 💊 Fertilizer: BioGrow, BioBloom, Silic Rock, CalMag, Acti-Vera 💡 Light: 400-450 PPFD / 22-25 DLI at 60%

To point 1, Umami recommends the same, they explained to me that the plant will show very different expressions bc the plant just is not "ready" if sent to early, different hormones that would develop later de/activate genes and thus your plant will turn out different. By cloning you increase that time, also from what I understand the first clone may differ significantly from the mother, C2 - C3 slight variation and C4 will be extremely uniform. We will see what I do with my next grow, cloning and maturing is just not possible in DE
