ItalianDesertBalcony Right into the substrate in a smaller pot, going to transplant into a 12L cloth pot when she seems strong enough to handle it, maybe at 2 weeks. Germ. Date Aug 11

ItalianDesertBalcony Transplanted Aug. 24 because Aug 23 there was a terrible storm the night before, the small pot was soaked and didn’t dry out, so I transplanted early to avoid root rot hoping it would dry out surrounded by dry soil. Currently in a cloth pot starting week 2. ‘Grow’ fertilizer 1ml/L in 100 ml increments when watering was needed.

ItalianDesertBalcony Reporting a little early, can update later. Starting LST to spiral her and keep her as short as possible, seems to be reacting well. She’s about 14 cm long, 8 cm tall. She’s on the balcony next to the first plant with the spider mites infestation, sprayed her with neem 8/30; and another veggie safe spray. Going to try and prevent the spread of the mites as much as possible. About 100-200ml grow solution and 50-75 cal/mag supplement diluted in distilled water. She’s already looking bigger than the first one, probably because she was planted right in the soil from the beginning. But her leaves are suffering. Not sure why.

ItalianDesertBalcony She’s officially 13/14 cm tall now, and resisting the spiral LST. Over all much healthier than the one before, not sure if it’s the difference between planting directly in soil or using cannabis specific fertilizer.

ItalianDesertBalcony Switched to a mix of grow/bloom, now mostly bloom. Still using cal/mag She’s doing much better than my first attempt, but still not so great. Leaf miners, spider mites, and who knows what else. ¯_(ツ)_/¯ Doing the best I can.

ItalianDesertBalcony About 15 cm tall, 30 cm long. Started bringing her in for supplemental light hours after the sun goes down. She is doing much better than my first attempt. If this is what’s possible every 2 months, I should be set with a personal stash 24/7

ItalianDesertBalcony Starting the trichome check daily, 3/10. Most of the pistils have turned amber, as of this days check I don’t see any amber trichomes at all. Sugar leaves have mostly cloudy trichomes, but still little to no amber.

ItalianDesertBalcony Continuing to check daily. She should be close, but it’s starting to get colder. Leaving her under low-power lights all night, sunlight during the day. Some days that are terribly windy and raining, all day under weak grow lights.
