ThomFoolery 8/3 Gonna try my luck with 2 auto flowering varieties. Blackberry Auto from FastBuds, and Blue Cheese Auto from White Label. I bought the BC from a seed bank called SeedFair they have a good variety and the prices aren't bad at all. I was looking for some lower THC and higher CBD strains, and they have a good selection. They keep the level of THC right out front so I don't have to search each listing. The BCA has up to 17% THC and the BBA has 20 something... I thought I'd start these two in my tent while I'm finishing up the veg cycle on another grow. I'll have to slowly introduce them to the outdoors over a week or so and then put them out, but I want them to be good and strong. I was going to just throw em out there, but I paid for these genetics, and I don't have a lot. So I'm going to baby them all the way through. For the sake of consistency and to take the easiest route, I'm going to go with organic living soil. "Just add water" like the Permanent Marker grow. I was going to bottle feed them with the fox farm trio, but I'll save that for the next tent grow. I have never grown that way and Im stoked to do it, but i want it to be in more controlled environment. Besides this will give me a good venue which to test my outdoor soil mix. It has some pest control amendments adding in and then there is the diatomaceous earth... That stuff is great as long as it's dry. Set seeds in water for 15 hours then put in peat pods and little pots topped with Pro-Mix EWC and perlite. Covered in a homemade humidity dome and now we waiting... 8/6 The BC popped through nice and proud... BB is hot on her heels about to break through! They are still in the dome and I'm hoping the temp is sufficient. Sure the humidity is. But I'm a bit worried itay get hot. I'll work on this tonight. 8/7 They made it!! Tiny, long and spindly.. but they came through. I am struggling with the accommodations for these new additions, so I left the tent open today while I'm at work. They are camping out on the tent floor and I hope it's not too bright. Covered in the dome about 78° with 70% humidity but that will wane a bit.... I'll fix the individual domes after work. These girls will be going outside at some point. I will be flipping the tent they co-occupy in about 1 to 2 weeks. I need the primary occupant ( a separate girl for a separate grow) to bush out a tad more. 8/8 I mixed up the outdoor mix I'm going to run these two in. Basically 2 gal Coco coir, 2 gallons Pro-Mix, 1 gal perlite, 1/ gal EWC, and about 3 gal of my previous soil mix that's been sitting for about 10, 11 weeks. I dropped them each into their own party cup with drainage on the bottom and air holes on the side. Completed with the next smaller size clear cup as a humidity dome. I added a few staggered breathing holes sprinkled some preventative Diatomaceous earth on the saucer. I'll let them spread out in there a bit. Grow 2 to 3 nodes and transplant to their final homes. We are going with a 3gal fabric pot. I dont want these getting over 2, 3 feet tall. I still live in a state that doesn't play ball yet. But either way you still need to worry about fucking thieves.

ThomFoolery 8/10 First seven days since dropped in the water. Looking damn good!!! 8/11 The BC is a tad bit pale. The BB looks about right, but it's just too early to be not picky. They are both growing fast, and looking good. 8/12 They are really doing well. I've been opening the domes for a little while and letting them get used to the lower humidity. The lighter colored BC sure did darken up! She must have hit the soil that has a the nutrients in it. Gonna let them get about 3 nodes and then remove the dome. These girls are gonna be going outside so I'm keeping the temps around 80 atm. They really seem to like it. As I said early I let the dome off for an hour or so and they didn't really perk up the whole time. Ambient temps were about 76. Then I replaced the dome and zipped them up for the night and upon waking 8 or so hours later ( This would be late afternoon for them) they were both praying in their domes and they had nearly doubled in size. They love the higher temps and I know they love humidity. It's about 78-81° and RH of 75%. I'm not entirely sure when I'm putting them out. But they will have several nodes and be a lot stronger. 8/13 I had to remove the domes. The conditions were getting cramped, and I think they are ok to come out. They have been thriving so I hope that behavior will continue. If not, I'll have to figure out a dome situation The biggest issue... Fear of the moment is sunlight. Currently we are undergoing some kind of a fucking monsoon period. It's been raining daily for almost 3 weeks now. Complete days of no sun, and the forecast looks the same through August. My yard is already going to be a challenge getting 6 hours of direct sunlight as is but I'm afraid with the current situation we won't get much yield. So worst case scenario I will have to move my Permanent Marker female into a smaller tent and keep her in veg while I flower these 2. I'll have to set up my cloning/mother tent (2x3x3) to hold her and that's gonna be a pain in the ass. I can barely accommodate my tall box in the lung room much less 2 of them. But I'll have to figure it out because I am not one that likes to throw away good genetics. Some people don't bat an eye,but these 2 girls already cost nearly . I'm not cheap or broke, I just don't want to give up the bud man .. it's that simple. 8/16 They are growing pretty damn well. The BC has a tiny bit of curl up on the first set. I had them both sitting at a higher point so I'm thinking it was light stress. It's gotten better since I moved em down. I may keep them both in this tent and flip to 12/12. I can just maximize the light for the PM and let the autos get what they can. My light is rated for a 2x4, but .... It's not a 2x4 light. It really is a tad too small which is why I got it for the 2x3. I thought about buying a 2x4 tent, leaving the cycle on 18/6 and flowering the autos but leave the Permanent Marker plant in veg. Then flower her after. Shell really put out some bud then.. I think I am going to finish these indoors either way.

ThomFoolery 8/18 Doing well I had some light stress issues so I just moved the lamps up. Watered them 8/16 with 1l2 cup dechlorinated pH adjusted water that had some mychorize and molasses in it. They look like they couldn't be happier. Still waiting to decide on the permanent accommodations for these 2, but it's looking like indoors. I'll update the grow parameters as I figure it out. 8/19 Thriving.... They are both just doing really well. Plan on transplanting them into a light soil mix about week 3ish.. It's looking like they are going to live indoors. Need to amend the diary. 8/21 Growing like mad. I'm going to be force to trans plant in the next day or 2. Thought I'd have a week bit nah ... I have just mixed a batch for these 2 that I hope will be just right. It's not as nutrient dense as it could be. Autos is new territory for me and if the soil is too light... I'll deal with that as it occurs. I have the fox farm trio on hand if I need to slip in a boost. 8/22 It's like I remember it. Night and day between these 2 autos and the permanent marker strain I started 10 weeks ago. That little girl grew soooooo slow. I believe it was the soil recipe. In my defense it's been over a decade since I grown cannabis and obviously I fucked up the soil, and/or this particular plant was just slow in general. That does happen. Regardless... These have to be gingerly transplanted into a new mix. I painstakingly reworked the soil recipe and made sure none of the ingredients clash or lock each other out due to competition. The mix they are in now seems to be on the $$. Their color is almost perfect. The permMarker was a bit too dark. A touch of N toxicity I'm sure. These 2 are really out growing these cups. Just watered 2 days ago and they'll need more tonight or in the am.

ThomFoolery Blue Cheese Auto by white label and Blackberry Auto by FastBuds420 Three week mark!!! So much to report. The BCA started displaying a desperate droop the day before transplant which was 8/23. I thought for sure it was need of water so I watered her/them and 2 hours later little change. Put them up for the night, and the next day she'd perked up a good bit. Then transplanted both. 8/23 The transplant went really well. I used the new soil and wet it down with a Superthrive enhanced dechlorinated tap water. 8/25 Moved all girls into a 2.3x4.6x80... a plus sized 2x4. Massive compared to my 2x1.7 and so far..... So far, surprisingly easier to cool. That may change. I have t even seen a dark period yet. Problems with the new soil. It seems my N source takes longer than a couple, 2, 3 days to release....yeh, I knew this as soon as I saw the defeciency.... I knew I'd fucked up. 2 weeks is the least amount of time I'd wait on new soil but I had to go with it. Hopefully it will not kick in too hard .. I was frugal with the N in the forst place because autos were going in at week 3. Solution: Fish emulsion foilar spray. 1.5ml per 22oz sprayed right after sunrise was initiated. We'll see if this and maybe another application will get it through the stretch. The BBA isnt displaying the same need for N. 8/27 Fuck..... They both have already started to flower. Looks like it's been happening a few days. So they will not be getting any larger ... Damn it... Oh well. Next time I'm going to keep them in the same container. Make sure there are no hiccups in the soil department and maybe I'll get them to grow bigger. My entire grow system went fucking haywire during the night. Somehow multiple settings like the VPD for the humidifier, and another trigger on the exhaust fan was out of whack. VPD was set to .06 and the fan was on 8. Dehumidifier was working and the damn humidifier was pumping out mist. Idek WTF that was but I woke up and started freaking out. If they weren't stunted then.... Damn if they ain't now!!! But why so early???? Why did they start flowering before week 3? Today is 3 weeks and 2 days so yeh.. in my ignorance I didnt realize what it meant, thinking theyd still double but they have definitely stopped growing. Well... Hopefully the weed is good and I still have more of both of these to try again later! 8/28 Well... As per the research I've been doing this could have been caused by so many things I did wrong. This is all new territory to me and I guess I was just a bit too over zealous with these beauties. Swinging temps while settling them into a new place, late transplant. Transplant into soil that's not quite ready. I should have gone with natures living soil and been done with it with all the other shit I was trying to do at the same time. But... Live and learn. The focus now is to make sure they produce decent bud.
