deadhead1996 Have had her outside through rain and heat the last 2 weeks + 1 day, watering when the soil looks a bit dried out. So far no nutes have been added. She’s looking healthy, slow start with some overcast days and rain, but today she started shooting up a bit more. Will update in 6 days for week 3

Hoping to get some advice. Below are pics of day 18 (from seed) she looks a bit stunted compared to the usual I see on here. Is there any hope to get her exploding above the surface before she starts flowering? I intend to go through to harvest no matter the result

Looks fine - not stunted. Probably the large pot, tiny plant context is slowing it down... It's probably focusing on roots trying to find limits of the substrate volume. Once it kicks into gear it probably won't be too far behind if you compare at 4-5 weeks out to a plant that was potted up properly, but you also have the pains of watering a tiny plant in a large pot and the elevated risks that brings to the equation for no reason. Always better to use size-appropriate pots and pot-up as needed. This should never shock a plant unless someone pulls out the GI Joe Kung Fu Grip (tm) on the rootball. Don't ask a toddler or someone off the short-bus to do it and you'll be fine.

deadhead1996 Making good progress this week. Had a lot of good sun middle of the week, then some rain yesterday. Supposed to be a fairly sunny week so we’ll see how that does for her. I am slightly surprised to see the cotyledons still hanging on with no sign of falling off anytime soon. Thanks to everyone who answered my question earlier in the week, I was overthinking and being impatient! See yall in a week!

deadhead1996 To think I thought she was stunted! Doing really well this week, temps are skyrocketing where I’m at and will remain high this week. We had a lot of rain earlier this week, which seems to have helped her, but also brought some fungus gnats around. I’ve been using yellow traps + am going to let this heat finish drying out the top layer of soil.

deadhead1996 What a week! We’ve had an intense heat wave in my part of the country this week, but we did get 1 or 2 storms that rolled through, so I have only watered her once with about 1L to hold her over early in the week. Doubled in size and getting a lot of new growth, still no nutrients have been added apart from a very small amount of banana peel water that I added into the 1L earlier this week. Looks like she’s either started flowering or is at the very least just about to. Starting to smell a bit more but nothing crazy. Learning a lot this first grow!

deadhead1996 Definitely in the flowering phase fully. I’ve counted 12 bud sites on her as of yesterday. Oddly the smell now is less than it was around weeks 3-4, but is still very present. Added around 1 gallon of water myself this week and let the rain do the rest

deadhead1996 Doing well, buds all at least doubled in size this week. Getting lots of rain at least 1 day a week so watering has been pretty much unnecessary, but have had to keep an eye out for bud rot. So far so good
