Germination

GelatoGandalf New diary because growing is too much fun. Not much to say about germination but for this run I will be using my new autopot system. Originally I planned to put this one outdoor but I changed my mind when I realized I need the plant watered during my vacation. More about that in week 2.

GelatoGandalf Not much to say, I tried to not light stress her for once. First few days she grew with a dome for better humidity. Gave her some acti vera and a bit of Alfa boost but this time very on the easy side because I realized my hard water might have been a lot for the seedlings already.

GelatoGandalf So this time I will properly regulate pH to see if I get better results in bloom as last time. Also my next grow is going to be a coco grow and it can't hurt to get used to the process either. She is growing a bit short, dli is below 16 and I feel like she needs some time to properly stretch. Started some leaf tucking at the end of the week otherwise I just want her to be happy and comfortable. As I wrote before, when I thought about watering during vacation I got the idea of putting the pot inside the autopot and it fits perfectly. In my expectation the roots will grow through the original pot and the pebbles into the bottom of the AP just fine. If I can't get her drinking from the reservoir in the next 3 weeks I might switch to a blumat or something. Think she will be drinking from the reservoir end of w3 though.

GelatoGandalf On Day 15 i recognized that the water level in my tray has sunken a bit. Might be she's actually already drinking from it. I corrected pH Levels again, will need to move to another product for pH- though as i rises too fast with organic pH-. Also new Tank Filling on day 15. Old solution was a bit milky. So for my next filling i will avoid organic stuff and give that just over the leafs. Speaking of i prepard a foliar spray with seaweed and fulvic as it might help keeping the stretch a bit lower. Day 16 Reservoir is full so it seems like she is actually drinking from the tray already :) Today i topped her because she seems to me like the perfect candidate for that. Never topped an auto but it's only my second auto grow and third grow overall so let's see how she likes it. She is starting to produce a little very fine smell. It also seems like she liked the foliar spray last night. Now we are waiting for the stretch. D19 Transferred to the bigger tent. Renewed the tank. Switched to RO water. Seems like her drinking from the tray was fake news but should start anytime now, she hasn't been top fed for a week now. She looks like a salad but pretty healthy otherwise. Gave another foliar spray before lights out with seaweed and fulvic.

GelatoGandalf D24 EC is at 1.9. She's not using too much water. I hope the availability is alright but I am optimistic. As temperatures are rising low humidity kind of got an issue so I am supporting with an Humidifier to keep the VPD low. I foliar spray with fulvic and seaweed every third day before lights off. I like how compact she grows but i wouldn't be surprised to see the Sative come through when we reach flower which should happen any time now. D25 First signs of flower appeared. D26 Little training because two twigs were a bit overshooting the rest. Also did some light defoliation.

GelatoGandalf D29 I guess this is our first week of flower as i started to see Pistils last week. She is getting broader but still not really gaining height which is why I put the Lamp a bit higher. DLI is around 40/42. Wish she would do some upward stretch so I can train a bit before i have to leave for a week. EC is at 1.7, pH in my Tank at 5.8. D33 Today I installed a trellis net to get her a bit more even growing even though the height difference is not gigantic. I also lollipoped a bit the stuff that didn't look promising. Never had a plant that short though so it was just some foliage near the stem. I upped the DLI a bit to around 48, maybe I can activate some smaller lower growing side shoots to get some respectable growth. Also gave a foliar spray with seaweed, fulvic and cal mag. D34 Fresh Tank with above Nutes. EC 1.7, pH 5.8.
