Lewinge In the first week I placed the Seeds in a potting soil straight from a hardware store and added nothing else. In retrospective the substrate was quite good holding a lot of water and providing a lot of support. On the other hand it might have been a bit firm but I don't really know. All of the Seeds sprouted after around three to four days in the constantly moist soil. As you can see the Plants were placed directly against a window getting around ten hours of direct sunlight.

Lewinge I really didn't doo anything after germination. The plants started to get really lanky which is due to the lack of direct sunlight but I think that it wasn't really a problem overall.

Lewinge The Plants grew further but only got longer over time. This was when ChatGPT recommended that I should put a mirror made from aluminum foil and cardbord behind the plants to reflect more of the sunlight back on the plant. I might be crazy but I think that this has helped a lot and I really recommend this. I assume that it enables the plant to pick up 15-30% more light than without and its a way cheaper and more elegant way than buying a grow light in my opinion.

Lewinge The Plants grew verry helathy, still quite lanky but also getting bigger leafes. At the end of week 3 I added a teaspoon of coffe grounds to each pot to give the plant a bit of nutrients in this early stage of growth. The Plants slowly began to outgrow this setup and the third pair of leafes started to form so the next step was to get them outside. At this point I started to put the plants outside for 5-9 hours a day if I had time to do so and the weather allowed it. I did this to prepare the plants for the colder temperature and the wind outside.

Lewinge The big move happened. I mixed a custom substrate due to budget reasons an me not wanting to order soil online. This consisted of 50L of compost that my freinds gave to me, around 10L of kaulin to airate the soil and another 80L of cheap gardening soil from the hardware store. This cost me around 18€ for all the soil I needed to fill up five 27L grow bags. I also added a bit more coffe grounds for good measure. I then set all my plants in their new bags mooved the lables and watered them. Important to say is that i set the plants deeper in the ground than they were before. I set them so that their first germination leaves barely showed through the soil. I did this because they were so lanky and Chat and a freind of mine told me this would be good against wind and the further stability of the plant. They handled the transition quite well and started to grow stronger and larger around three to four days after the moove.

Lewinge With a pretty warm week and a lot of sun the plants really grew a lot in this week. There were some cold nights that week but the plants really didn't seem to care. Since Transitioning to larger pots I water them 2-4 times a week depending on the soil moisture. I give each plant around 2 liters of water untill it spills out on the side of the bag.

Lewinge The plants are now growing at a quite unsetteling speed I am really happy about their development and ordered Hesi TNT Complex and Flower Complex. I started to use TNT Complex this week with half of the recomended amount and the plants seem to handle it verry well. I can't really say how much of the growth is due to the fertilizer but whatever I am doing it works quite well.

Lewinge The plants seem to handle the Fertilizer verry well and I used the full recommended dosage of 50ml/10L this week. The aphids are not getting more and that is all I care about. The plants are now growing at crazy speeds and seem to use up the Fertilizer verry well. They are also beginning to bloom and I think I might swith to my Hesi Bloom Complex for next weeks fertilization.

Lewinge This Week I discovered that the first blossoms formed, allthough due to their size I am guessing that they allready appeared some time last week. Due to this I switched to my bloom Complex Fertilizer. I additionally startet to do a bit of LST to give the lower strands a bit more light. I know that I started a bit late but it worked really nicely and I figured that I can't do any harm if I am just carefull enough. The plants look healthy and gained a lot of size in the last days.

Lewinge The Training showed its succsess and the side branches are starting to gain in thickness and height. This week there was a lot of rain in Hamburg and I think the plants got more water than they should. Generally I think that the felt bags helped a lot because the plants didnt't stand in water due to the good drainage they provide. I think that this was also the point where investing in some kaolin for better soil drainage also showed its value. The aphids are getting more and I think I have to do something about it.

Lewinge This week I removed some Leaves blocking lower branches so they would get a bit more sun. I also ordered and applied some Neem Oil to kill off some of the aphids because I felt like they became to many. I read that this is a fully organic and food grade pesticide which counters all sucking insects (including aphids and ants). I'm not really sure if it helped but nothing is mooving and I will keep an eye out for changes.
