Auto Trichome & Cream — 1ST Indoor

H0BBYGAERTNER Almost exact 8 weeks in already! Planted the seedling into a fabric grow bag (Standard Mars hydro 5 Gallon/19liter) containing „Neudorff - Neudo­Hum Grow All-Mix“ (from the Hardware store) after around a week or 2 in the cultivation soil. Seedling stretched a bit too much because of bad/insufficient Light, but i was able to put very Deep into the soil. As growth nutrient i have always mixed a bit of oscorna „Animalin“ into the soil (from the beginning), with good results like my outdoor vegetables. It seems it is an organic, Almost Like Living soil, fertilizer. No other grow fertilizer needed (was i wrong?). First few Fan leaves of half the seedling were kinda crippled, like glued Together (bad genetic or light burn? See Photo bottom left 2-3 leaves), after Growing for a bit no further Problems though. Topped the then healthy main shoot after 4 nodes. Luckily no Stress reactions, although a rather slow growth after. Plant in General rather tall, Almost like my earlier outdoor grows. Total Vegi 4-5 weeks, totally Fine. Super Stretch from the beginning of bloom, still very Light plant with heaps of space in between branches and buds (compare to plant on Right, 2-3 weeks older, same lighting confitions!) — teaser: will be filled! As the plant looked super healthy no bloom nutrients yet, maybe also a mistake (Tell me please!). Light still on like 65%, up to 70% humidity because i wasnt aware of the different needs during the different Stages of the growth cycle (teaser: going to be problem!). Strangely, no distinctive smell. Might be a Bit Early, however. Very happy with the whole progression in total, looking forward to witnessing further development. H0BBYGAERTNER Day 64 after germinating (9 weeks, 1 day), just around 8 days after the last update. Huge bud build up for the Short time, especially on the tips. First symptoms of deficiency as well. As unexperienced outdoor grower i didnt exactly know how to deal with it, did not feed preemptively. Just removed the yellow fan leaves and started to feed hesi bloom. If you can tell by the photos please do so, as i am still not 100% sure! Later i „found out“ (chatgpt, all random and not trustworthy imo) it might have been wrong air humidity or ph, or as simple as watering not often enough (every 3rd day) for the intensity of the light and heat inside the grow box. 5 days later, still week 10 (last 2 photos): i am like wtf is happening, is this corn? The from the start separated buds start growing together to form beautiful colas on each of the shoots.

H0BBYGAERTNER Day 76, short update: in the meantime fertilizer routine and ph adjustment (due to available ph-meter, solid citric acid) has been picked up. Removed some fan leaves for better light conditions and air circulation. Finally realized the humidity has been wrong since flowering (budrot on the other plant) and changed that. Urgh. Drain ph was really high (like 8+ - why is that and is it bad?), but (next to wrong humidity) i think i needed to Water more often as the lamp was Running on 90% now and temperatures started to rise in the tent. Well, more leaves turned yellow and bad, but overall also First Pistills started to slightly become brown. Oddly still no real smell recognizable, only when touching or moving around.

H0BBYGAERTNER Day 82: Wow, i still dont have a clue/ much experience as a grower, but what is happening. Looks like all the fine pictures on the internet (am i delusional?) and im excited. Plant/a few calyxes started to turn a bit purple — pretty! Started to feed calmag (bc., hey, maybe thats the reason of the deficiency and it cannot be wrong, eh?), removed ill-looking leaves, light to 100%, nothing more. Tried to correct the drain hp by watering with a more accidic nutrient Solution, i dont know if that was a good idea, did Not find trustworthy ressources for that. Removed the other plant (bagseed from a friend) from the tent bc. It was producing bananas en masse and was afraid of another budrot incident. This is when i first recognized: use decent breeders or begin bottched from the start. Wondering how many weeks i have left till chop-chop. (Please correct me if i am wrong!)

H0BBYGAERTNER Day 86: no change to last week, except decided to return to a more normal ph for the nutrient Solution. Just waiting for the trichoms to become more milky, no real browns so far. And the blossoms to swell, you can see how the weight starts to pressure the stems. Question: is it foxtailing? Super beautiful plant, especially when ignoring the yellow leaves. According to the description of Dutch Passion Flowering requires around 10 weeks under 20/4 with up to 12 weeks for bigger phenos, so thats right the Spot - more or less.

H0BBYGAERTNER Day 92: the chop is near. Reduced nutrients a bit, removed a lot of old and dry leaves. Dont expect a lot of additional growth now, so just waiting for the calyxes to ripen a bit more. Head buds actually have a lot of brown trichomes, while the lower ones show 1-2 or nothing at all. Thinking about harvesting the top Part and leaving the Bottom for another few days. Still have my doubts, though. Day 93: found fresh bananas. Although they wont affect the plant much due to the late Stage of the grow (i believe), they mean the plant is a bit stressed i guess. Thinking about chopping tomorrow. One‘s for sure: it‘s a beautiful chonker, although leaves dont Look very healthy. Look into the Future: gonna use dryferm (semipermeable plastic foil) for the drying process.

H0BBYGAERTNER Harvest Part One, Day 93: First harvest of the Main colas, as a lot of the trichomes turned brown. An awful lot of work to trim wet, but wanted to get rid of all the dryed leaves. A comment on another diary said leaves turned yellow because of possible lockout. Well, i cant deny it, but i have no experience at all with it. In hindsight i should have used a lot more fertilizer during the vegi phase, i guess, because this monster turned out to be super hungry (if that makes sense). Density after removing the leaves is ok i think. Expected a bit more to be honest. Massive headbuds still though. However, kinda „raw“ on the inside as you can see by the color and general appearance. So wondering if it was to early still. Alright, half of the plant cut down, and placed in dryferm bags (compare to dryaging but tailored to Cannabis), as i have mentioned before. Still in the process, after like 7 days half of the weight gone already. A Bit more to go i think. I think i will post another update with the bottom part of the plant and for sure one with the finished product. So far very surprising strain in a positive way, still very delicate smell (i get the „doughy“ and in a sense creamy part of dutch Passions Description, its very subtile though and not much else, almost citrusy tea like), great yield, grows somewhat easy but probably isnt easy to maintain and doesnt like errors in handling. All in all im very happy and cant wait to try the First Buds. So far 7.5/10 — very decent. Let‘s see how it performs. Might change the evaluation then. And sorry, might totally be wrong about everything. Let me know your opinion, criticism, etc., please!
