Dagnele Seedling status: Healthy, though slightly stretched due to the frequent thunderstorms this week which limited their light exposure. Light management: Over the past two days, they’ve been getting direct sunlight only during the late afternoon, taking advantage of clearer skies. Temperature management: The pots are kept indoors during the night and morning to avoid the cold; in the afternoon, once temperatures rise above 20°C, they’re placed outside in the shade.

Grow Questions

Dagnelestarted grow question 1mo ago
One of my plants (shown in the third photo) looks a bit limp compared to the others. It’s not showing obvious signs of disease, but it seems weaker. Any idea what might be causing this? Could it be related to watering, light, root development, or something else?

At week 2, a limp plant like that is usually from overwatering or weak roots. Let the topsoil dry out before watering again. Could also be light stretch from earlier low light, weak stems droop easy. If color’s still good, she’ll likely bounce back with a bit of patience and sun.

Dagnele Date: June 2, 2025 Stage: Vegetative phase Plant status: The plants are now in full vegetative growth. Side branches are developing well, leaf count has increased, and overall size is noticeably growing. Watering: Approximately every 3 days, alternating between one watering with fertilizer and one with plain water. Light: Continued sun exposure when weather allows, avoiding the hottest hours of the day. Feeding: Still using ATA Terra Leaves at 3ml/l during nutrient watering days. Pest management: I’ve noticed signs of leaf miner larvae on a few leaves and a small presence of aphids. I applied an aphid repellent spray to limit the spread.

Dagnele Date: June 10, 2025 Stage: Beginning of flowering Plant status: Flowering has officially started. All plants are in great shape, showing steady daily growth and strong overall health. Growth: The three strongest plants now range between 41 cm and 45 cm in height. The one that appeared slightly limp during week 2 is still healthy but is currently about 5 cm shorter than the others. Watering: Water consumption has increased noticeably, in line with their development. Support: I’ve removed the support sticks, as the main stems have thickened and are now self-supporting. Light: This week was mostly sunny, and the plants received plenty of direct sunlight. Feeding: Starting tomorrow, I’ll switch from ATA Terra Leaves to ATA Terra Max to support the flowering stage.

Dagnele Date: June 24, 2025 Stage: Flowering Plant status: Another very hot week, but the plants remain in excellent health. Growth: Vertical growth has now stopped. The tallest plant measures 75 cm, and the shortest 63 cm. Flowers: Bud development is progressing well — the flowers are swelling and becoming more defined. All plants are showing a good number of buds. Maintenance: I removed the lower leaves that had started to yellow, to improve airflow and redirect energy to the flowering sites. Weather: Continued hot and sunny conditions, with no signs of heat stress so far.
