EazyRider two seeds broke ground in 3 days third on took a day longer. Only one of these is spindly and wobbly but not as my usual night owls, I only now see that this has some blue power in it, I forgot, so not surprised if these will be shorter plants. So far going by internode length at the cotydons I'd say only one of these will be a tall plant.

EazyRider Master Bruce has had some added SiPhi from nutrifield, at a rate of 2ml/10L I don't know if this has had an effect but these three are looking more solid and chunky than past Night Owls, however this could be a result of the Blue Power genetics. Otherwise all looking very good. Different internode spacing indicates different growth pathern. One of these looks like she will be tall, that is the one with three good internodes.

EazyRider All three plants were topped at d18, d19, and d20. Decent growth, can't tell yet is these are going to stretch, looks like one will be pretty small, I am hoping the others get to around 24in. If they stay short then I might begin my next three a couple of weeks early.

EazyRider These are chunkier than I expected, I hope we get some stretch happening, although it's clear they will not be very large. They are all three growing as expected by looking at the internodes early, where it was obvious that one of these was going to be extra short. Otherwise all looking good. The only thing I have done different in this grow is that I have added 2ml/10L of Nutrifield SiPhi. I do not think that has contributed to the chunkiness. More likely the blue power genetics.

EazyRider Welp we are at 5 weeks an no sign of preflowers so that's gotta be a good thing with short plants. Tallest one is 13in and the stretch is beginning albeit a bit late. Middle plant has light green leaves, plant on the right has very dark green leaves and plant on left is somewhere in the middle. Which just shows that leaf colour is not a reliable indication of lack of or too much N There has been a lot of defoliation there's just no way to avoid it but it all seems good now. Just found out that the MB are the shortest of the Blue Power crosses, doh! I snapped one of the hard to get to branches at the top of the middle one I was being careful but not careful enough it was tight in there and I just used a wire to hold it in place it was cut nearly clean through it was still alive after an hour so when I check a few days later I discovered it has healed but only at the very edge, with a big wedge. It seemed solid enough so I thought I'd just try and suport the wedge. To do that I used a bit of styrofoam and put it in the wedge then dropped some superglue on it which makes a viscous goo let that harden and one more bit of styrofoam, see photos.

EazyRider Not a lot of stretch going on. The tallest plant and the shortest plant have both begun to bud up, the middle plant which has required more defoliation is not throwing out any buds yet, so hopefully it will get a bit larger. The smallest plant is dark green and will definitely stay very short. Three very different phenos, with only one of them, the tallest one, being acceptable to me, with a good structure, even if small.

EazyRider It feels like nothing is happening probably because it's all so small and I don't have much work to do, the smallest plant on the right looks like one of my previous Blue Powers, she is tiny at 13" like the BP's and she is frosting up. The one on the left has a better structure and is 20in. The middle one with the lighter green leaves is one week behind in bud development. My next run of 3 x Galaxy Brain also popped up. Weather is cold now so I'm anticipating slower growth.

EazyRider All growing as expected, I have been trying to pull them apart as well as continuing with defoliating some older leaves trying to strike a balance. The lighter green plant is one week behind in flowering, the tallest plant at 20in is showing a lot of red in the leaves so these are going to be pretty buds. Very interested to see how they differ in aroma and taste from the Blue Powers because the small plant is identical to a BP.

EazyRider a lot of pulling apart, plus plenty of defoliation to open up the crowded internal space. I'll keep them going as long as I can. However two of them are showing their blue power genes, middle one is more ordinary but it's also a week behind.

Those are frosting up nicely. See you are going on a Night Owl spree! I too just start started a greenhouse summer camp adventure with three night Owl strains.

I wouldn’t be surprised with her B. B. Genetics if those sativa traits don’t shine through and you wind up with three foot plus tall plants.

@sanibelisl, just about to post wk 3, one of these is definitely going to be very small.

@sanibelisl, I am locked in for about 18months! I'm excited to get mango isle underway because it was my first night owl and it has a delicious taste. I am thinking of putting one of my old hydro shallow water tubs in my next run in a 6 weeks. I am so tempted to run more than single strains but every run I look at a run it always bothers me to not know. After I've run three of everything then I'll be able to run multiple strains and know what to expect.
