420 Shades of Green – No God, Just Photosynthesis

Growtendo64 Melony officially started her journey on 4/20, and after her unusual mutation at birth (three cotyledons and three serrated leaves), she’s been growing steadily. This week was all about establishing healthy roots and creating the right microclimate. She stayed under a humidity dome with ~70% RH and temps around 25°C. By the 21st, she received her first gentle feeding: 105 ml of water with 10 drops each of BioBizz Root·Juice and Bio·Heaven. She tolerated it well and continued expanding her first leaf trio. On April 25th, I increased the watering to 150 ml, this time using 15 drops of Root·Juice and Bio·Heaven. The leaf development progressed nicely, and by the end of the week, Melony started forming her second set of serrated leaves. She looked happy and well-balanced. On the 26th, I removed the dome and hung a damp towel across the tent to help stabilize humidity. Her PPFD was still gentle (~190 µmol/m²/s), and the lamp hung 45 cm above her. The goal now is to help her adjust to open-air conditions and gently guide her into vegetative growth.

Growtendo64 Melony has entered early veg with vigor. After breaking the surface on 4/20 with a rare three-cotyledon mutation, she’s now showing strong root development, solid uptake, and healthy foliage. She’s already absorbing up to a liter in two days and responding well to each round of feeding. On April 28 (Day 9), she received: • 250 ml water • 0.3 ml Bio·Grow • 0.3 ml Bio·Heaven • 0.3 ml Root·Juice On April 30 (Day 11), she was given: • 500 ml water • 0.5 ml Bio·Grow • 0.75 ml Bio·Heaven • 0.75 ml Root·Juice • 0.25 ml Cal-Mag On May 1 (Day 12), she received: • 500 ml water • 0.5 ml Bio·Grow • 0.75 ml Bio·Heaven • 0.75 ml Root·Juice • 0.4 ml Cal-Mag On May 3 (Day 14), she absorbed: • 800 ml water • 1.75 ml Bio·Grow • 1.5 ml Bio·Heaven • 0.75 ml Root·Juice • 0.75 ml Cal-Mag Environment was stable: temps 22–25 °C, humidity mostly around 60–70%, and light intensity was increased to ~450 PPFD at 35 cm distance (dimmed to 60%). I also filled in the top of the pot with Light Mix to level out the soil line. Notably, she’s showing slightly reddish stems, which I’ll monitor going forward – could be early phosphorus demand, stress recovery, or just her unique expression. Overall, she looks vigorous, symmetrical, and ready to transition into more aggressive vegetative growth next week.

Growtendo64 Melony is now deep in vegetative growth and thriving. Her root system has fully established in the 14L fabric pot, and she’s drinking a full liter of water every two days. No signs of flowering yet, so I’m continuing with Grow, Heaven, and Cal-Mag without introducing Bloom or Top·Max. Her structure remains symmetrical despite her initial three-leaf mutation, and she’s handling the environment well under ~450 PPFD. On May 5 (Day 16) she received: • 1L water • 2.5 ml Bio·Grow • 2 ml Bio·Heaven • 1 ml Root·Juice • 0.75 ml Cal-Mag • pH 6.4 / 25 °C On May 8 (Day 19): • 1L water • 3 ml Bio·Grow • 2 ml Bio·Heaven • 1 ml Cal-Mag • 1 ml Root·Juice (likely final use) • pH 6.6 / 21 °C On May 11 (Day 22): • 1L water • 3 ml Bio·Grow • 2 ml Bio·Heaven • 1 ml Cal-Mag • pH 6.3 / 23.5 °C Melony is showing very light reddish striping on her stems, but new growth is vibrant and symmetrical – no signs of stress. I’ve gently trained her main stem horizontally for light exposure and am now waiting for the first signs of flowering. Overall, her growth is strong, balanced, and healthy – she’s definitely preparing for her stretch phase.

Growtendo64 Melony spent this week transitioning from late vegetation into early flowering. She showed the first pistils on May 15th, marking the start of her bloom phase. Up until then, her stretch continued with strong vertical growth and no signs of nutrient stress. The PPFD was increased to around 550 μmol/m²/s, and she continued to respond well to training and watering. On May 14th, she was given 1.5 liters of water with a mix of Bio·Grow, Bio·Heaven, and Cal-Mag. The soil surface had dried out quickly, showing strong root activity. Based on her healthy appearance and nutrient uptake, I increased the water to 1.8 liters on May 15th and introduced Bio·Bloom and Top·Max for the first time. She handled the transition beautifully. The mixture also included Bio·Grow to support her during the final stretch, as she’s in BioBizz Light Mix, which has limited long-term nutrition. On May 17th, I increased her PPFD to around 650 and gave her a full 2 liters of nutrient solution. I also performed a low-stress training adjustment using clips and lightly defoliated lower leaves to allow more light to reach inner growth sites. She showed no stress at all after the LST or defoliation and continued to grow symmetrically and vigorously. On May 18th, I fine-tuned her shape once more and was happy to see that she had not reacted negatively to any training step. She’s now fully transitioned into bloom and looks like she’s about to begin stacking flowers very soon.

Growtendo64 Melony entered early flowering with visible pistils and a solid stretch of ~2.5 cm per day. She responded well to LST and defoliation. Nutrients were gradually increased (Grow 4.5 ml, Bloom 8 ml, Top·Max 8 ml, CalMag 2 ml, Heaven 4 ml per 2 L). Final stretch phase still active, leaves healthy and upright. Light set at ~650 PPFD.

Growtendo64 This week Melony continued her vigorous bloom stretch. She’s now fully occupying the 50x50 tent, so I removed a few large fan leaves and weak lower bud sites to improve light and airflow. She’s drinking heavily – 2 to 2.7 L every 2–3 days – and shows no signs of stress. On May 30th, I defoliated again after watering, and she responded well. Nutrients were adjusted to full bloom strength, with slight Grow reduction, and BioBizz Acti·Vera was introduced to support her resilience. She now receives ~650 PPFD at 30 cm distance. She’s stretching around 2.5 cm daily, with dense flower clusters forming nicely. The canopy is stable and healthy. We’re right in the peak of her flowering cycle – terpene production is increasing, and the structure looks very promising.
