dwotTV Starting my first grow in the new tent with my first Night Owl seeds. Grabbed these from seedslocker a few months ago and they've been sitting in my seed vault in the fridge since. Popped them in a glass of water at 8pm on 10/18. Broke out the AC Infinity propagation system and added a bit of RO water to some coco pucks. About 24 hours later they sunk in the glass and had opened up a bit with root peaking out, so into the pucks they went on the evening of 10/19. No real movement on 10/20, turned the heat pad off because they were a little warm. Morning of 10/21 the first Compound V was starting to pop through the soil, 2nd one followed a couple hours after and before noon all 3 were making their way out. Opened vents on the dome to let them breathe a bit more. 10/22 continuing to grow really strongly, looking good. 10/23 some roots out the bottom, time to go into the tent. Transplanted and seem happy, dialing in the temp and humidity and airflow, some odd higher temp days still around this time of year with some heavy fluctuations but it will normalize out. The tent has been stood up and cooking a bit w/ the lights blazing and a dehumidifier running to dry out our soil a bit. Had issues with fungus gnats last grow and I'm trying to prevent that this time. Ordered some beneficial nematodes as a line of defense and sprayed soil with a good soak of neem oil as a precaution after drying out. Sticky traps show no gnats so far. Soil is Coast Of Maine Stonington Blend Aeration Formula, a 70 / 30 Coco / Perlite blend that I've used before. I have Coast of Maine dry nutrients and Fox Farm liquid nutrients, will likely try to stick to the dry nutrients unless fungus gnats emerge again. Soil is in 5 gallon fabric pots. I added 2/3 cup of Stonington Blend Plant Food and 1/3 cup of Wiscasset Blend Earthworm Castings to each pot along with some Mycorrhizal Fungi spores and worked it in. I have been using the AC Infinity self watering bases but as I'm running 6 total plants this grow I've ordered the new Vivosun self watering bases to compare them.

dwotTV Transplanted in the afternoon of 10/23 because they were rooting out of the pucks. Got some humidity dome cups coming tomorrow and another inline fan to handle intake to try to dial in things a bit more. Growing well as the week ends, #1 is the big guy so far, growing really well. Sprayed with Neem Oil on 10/24 Fed Light Fox Farms Blend on 10/25 Treated with NemAttack on 10/26

dwotTV Repotted to some living soil to correct mistakes. Ditched #3 as it was stunted out badly. Some transplant shock but adapting well. #1 is killing it.

dwotTV Cruising through week 11. Chopped the plant in the Yellow pot on day 71, mostly to stagger the harvest for my limited dry space. It was the furthest along of my grow. The colors on the remaining plant are getting bonkers, also getting so heavy it needs some supports to hold up the buds. Really stinky still, heavy gas smell, really amazing and photogenic plant.

Looking sweet. You can expect to see pistils shortly if you haven’t already. These pistils are the longest, thickest most prominent I have ever seen. They definitely are female plants! They will go into stretch very quickly and should top out between 24-27 inches tall in about a week’s time. If you plan on defoliating your window is short as I found out removing any foliage after stretching stunts them for a couple of days. On the other hand they do like to be fed and responded well with extra bloom nutrients. Maybe be careful with the nitrogen as they are naturally very vegetative and perhaps that may help with defoliation. Anyway that’s what I have for this stage of growth and I will try to keep up with your grow. Exciting to see someone else growing some Compound V.

@sanibelisl, Appreciate the info and interest in the grow. It's a really cool strain, smells amazing. I was working out some kinks in the new setup so they had a little more stress than they'd like early on but I've corrected my soil and water game w/ some critical changes and they seem pretty happy right now. I hadn't been updating here as much because I've been working on my own app for tracking my grows but was happy to round up the pics I had and post them up to. It's a shame there aren't more grows of this strain logged!

Nice looking harvest. I can’t wait to grow another one of those. An absolute pleasure in all ways.

WTF she looks spectacular! Is that you use an organic fertilizer or synthetic?

she looked very similar to mine... 4ozs. off each plant... absolutely no LST as it really cuts into the final yield

Hey I’m back. Dude I believe those Compound V’s are loving your new set up. Just wait till the end and you’ll swear you were in the middle of Autumn. So much color you’ll be tempted to put them in a vase and keep them on a table. And the smell is flowers on spring day. Just simply an amazing strain! As for me I am going to graduate from the closet to a tent as I received a NextLight Mega Pro 640 Watt, 1650 PPFD, 2.6 efficiency Grow Light for my birthday. It won’t fit in the closet so I guess I’ll have to get a tent, I wanted out of the closet anyway. So as soon as I get up and running I’ll be popping a couple more Night Owl beans to give this new MegaPro a chance to shine. Literally shine!!! Your grow is looking sweet. I harvested mine at day 88 but they could have gone for another as my lights weren’t quite up to the task ( but we will see about that now)!!! Happy ga
