lilbp420 1/16 Still reading over 850ppm from last feeding. Skipped most nutes and switched to 12/12 this week. Will water with weak nutes later this week. Armor Si was new this week, not sure it was a good idea. Off set with Calmag Moved lights up to 20" from canopy to encourage stretch 1/19 (3w3d 24days), ppm dropped to under 700. Feed with weak nutes, while testing air pump change. water temps 65-72 night to day. Able to unplug water heater till next cold snap, looking at external control to dial in min 62-63. 850ppm after feeding weak nutes.

lilbp420 The week went well. Height is nice and short 17" tall, filling 26"x32" space. Using 2 1000W LED panels that were focused toward center of the plant. Flattened the lights to encourage more growth outwards. First little hints of flowers. Went to defoliate and found light is making it into the plant pretty well, not much that looked ready to go, maybe I'll skip that on this grow. Removed ties as plant is about as wide as I want. This is day 35 from seed. Feeding later tonight shooting to have the bucket around 1000ppm. Planned schedule only got me to 850ppm, going to add a bit more bloom to the bucket thru the week. Over last two days she has been feeding well at a rate of 100ppm a day. Water consumption is up to 1 gal a day. Also raised lights to 19-20" inches from top.

lilbp420 It was a scary end to the week. I tried a little too much floralicous plus in week 6, roots started to look like some rot had taken hold. Cleared up about 4 days after the overdose. Ph has been stable, had to do an additional feeding after week6, ppm went from 850 to 700 over night, boosted back up with mostly bloom and koolbloom to 900. ppm down to 550 by end of week. Drinking little over a gallon of water a day.

lilbp420 Very good week. Keep having to feed in between main feedings. More than once over night the flowers have doubled in size. Roots are starting to consume some volume in the bucket, right around a gallon based on water level. Increased nutes to 75% of max and growing strong. TDS at 1250 after main feed. Still the plant continues to toss out a extremely yellow striped leaf here and there. Ph has stayed between 5.7-6.0 only needing adjustment after Armor Si. Water is a fraction over a gal per day. Updated pictures half way through week with additional defoliation and LST. 3 branches running away, 2 are main one is a lower. Last defoliation I think for this grow. Still going strong with no reservoir changes on this grow. Now I'm battling high reservoir temps instead of low temps. Now chilling with frozen water bottles as the chiller is busy with another grow.

lilbp420 This week has been focused on not making mistakes. Last week increases in nutes went well, going to give a little bump of Gro for the last time in this grow. Ph has been drifting up to 5.9, and PPM is going down ~100 a day so I'm leaving it be. Going to leave her tied up for a few more days as she wants to reach up still. In the last three days she has been putting on a good bit of weight, each day the cover is heavier feeling. It's likely I'm running the bucket hotter than shown in this diary. The bucket started with approximately 7 gallons of water, but now the root mass is significant.

lilbp420 Another week down with not much to report. A little burning at the tips, I think I have that fixed. Still not able to get nice shots with the scope, going to have to build a better mount for it. But as we see in the pictures I have awhile to go. I know I said I wouldn't defoliate this plant again, but I think I need to open up that middle again. After feeding, the bucket is around 1600ppm and the ph is varying +-0.2 daily.

lilbp420 It's getting closer to the end for this lady. Skipped posting the scope pictures for right now, trying to get that thing to focus for a clear shot is difficult. Right now I'm at mostly clear, some cloudy, no amber. I have a feeling I could let her grow another couple of months and put on weight, but a little heat wave and not setting up the chiller yet equals a little root rot. Already it starts to cool off again... probably have to put in the heater by the weekend. She also stopped drinking water the last day. Gave the roots a little pruning on the left side of the picture after a good rinse of what I slime I could remove. Now to see how much longer she can go. These pictures are on day 78 from seed. Going to be giving a few days to recover from the root work and then evaluate my planned feeding schedule. The roots on the left side of the picture are really wrapped tightly on each other. I think this contributed to root taking hold on this side only. I removed one of the thick roots from the bunch which made the whole mass much more free. 12 hours later she is still alive and drank over a half gallon of water. I might start root pruning on purpose.

lilbp420 **Update added pictures from taking a branch for a taste test. It's one of the smaller lower branches that was having problems supporting itself anyway. Just giving it a quick dry. Just smells too good to leave alone. Overall it was a good week. While it is obvious from the pictures some of the plant is having issues, likely from some left over root rot, but she will make it as long as I have to grow this round. She will be coming down within 2 weeks. She has started eating at a normal rate again, water consumption is down a little but so are temps. Ph has been stable requiring a bump of acid here and there as I add water over the week. Had to tie her down for her own safety, so top heavy. So far only lower growth is having problems supporting the weight. Going to add little dry bloom towards the end of the week. This smells like lemon crossed with cannabis, got a little sap on my hands, tastes like lemon, maybe even super lemon.

lilbp420 It's been a good week. Lots of growth, it's a shame I will have to take her early. This week is the final week of feeding. Probably next Week I will flush for a day or two, maybe three with the amount of rot. The Ph has been trending up this week, requiring a good bit of Ph down to keep under 6.0. Going to fix nutes later once done feeding. Adding some dry koolbloom this week

lilbp420 She is swelling up nicely. Root rot is still hanging around but not killing her. Only have a few more days till I have to take her so she is not getting any nutes this week. Starting flush over this weekend. Ph has stayed stable. Why do I have root rot? Well three big reasons 1. Light penetration through the bucket cover. It's not visible in the pictures but there is a nice thin green algae layer in a spots of the lid. I will fix this in the next grow using sound deadening wrap. I like it as the sheets I use in car audio fit right over the top of the lid. I skipped it in this grow to see just how much it helps. Looks like a good bit. Using Foil or Electrical tape on the lid works too, but with many strips it tends to loose bonding in places. 2. Water temp. While I have a pretty good setup, it's costly to run everything isolated indoors, so I used nature to cool my grow for a bit and she tossed me some hot days. Three days where water hit 73 and stayed over 70 at night probably helped build up the rot. 3. I don't change the whole bucket until the final flush. Nutes and clean water is expensive, even a few weeks back where I washed the root rot out. I only moved the worst area into a small container and rinsed with fresh water till slime stopped falling off, then back into the regular bucket. At transition from veg to flower I will sometimes swap water. Next grow will start in after the heat in the desert turns all the way up to high, so I shouldn't have temp issues, unless AC goes out. Light barrier should fix the algae issue.

Happy Harvest Day!

Growing this seed was easy as can be. She even battled through root rot to produce a good yield. Nice short plant responded to HST very well with tons of lower growth that could make for nice clones in a bigger grow. Bouncing back from HST was very quick with results many times in under a day.

lilbp420 Harvested 4/4 and now hanging to dry for a few days. Samples I took from a few weeks back are finally tasty. Strong meds too. Harvesting I should have worn gloves, had to clean clipper blades half way through chopping down. Gave a rough trim, now hanging in 20% humidity 72 degrees for 5 days and into the jar. UPDATE everything is dried out nicely, very low humidity here lately. Trimmed and weighed out at 320gram. Lots of little popcorn with a few really large buds. Got it all jarred up for the most part for dry cure. I'll be back with updates if anything happens during cure.

I'm curing a small sample in water. Anyone think I should wait a few weeks for the bud to dry cure first? Or right now start water curing?

The water curing should be done with the fresh nugs so no need to dry them before because drying is the last part of the process. 1st you need to put your buds into a jar and filled with water and changed that water every 24h ( 12h if you have the possibility ) and after 5 to 7 days you can put the buds out of the jar and wring it before you hang your buds where you want to dry them. A fan blowing on the drying nugs can help to avoid mold

Beautiful! I am really impressed with the density of your canopy. I'm still learning to tweak mine.

@Michigander, Thanks! I can't take too much credit, I just top, then tie a few limbs here and there for a few weeks to open up the middle. Not having a huge space to work in helps fill it in too (little under 6 sqFt). Then once she is kind of set just let her loose. I'm thinking on the next grow of this strain to do some manifolding, seems to bounce back in rdwc in hours/days instead of days/weeks in my soil grows.

@@lilbp420, manifolding is on my list to try eventually too. I'm following this manifolding grow right now and there are some awesome example steps/pics to really show how it's done. growdiaries.com/diaries/24230-first-photoperiod-glueberry-og

You'll always have clear trichomes even when the plant is well finished. The plant is always making new trichomes so you have to it weigh up when to chop it down

@@hydrohippy, I just like to wait till I have a couple of amber show up and don't have the time this round. But the sample I took a couple of weeks back worked really well so I'm probably going to make out just fine, just whining a bit :)
