Dankezt This week was transplanting all the well germinated ones into these coco pots that I got for utilizing the “air pruning” technique. They are super breathable similar to the 5 gallon fabric pots they are going to be translated into next. I will admit that I goofed up here and put the seedlings into straight intense LED light WAY TOO FAST. Note to self, ease plants into LED light. I’m going to keep that lesson in mind for cloning as well.

Dankezt Girls are looking healthy. Definitely used to the LED light now. They are becoming some short and stocky girls. I super-cropped them and continue too but damn girl, I didn’t know you had such thick tendencies. Being my first LED grow, is this normal? Look out for next week because the nodes are so close together and it’s starting to be something f like I’ve never seen.

Is there really a point to dumping in a lot of really expensive nutrients just for mothers?

Hi @Dankezt! To me it's all about your medium: some soil bags will cover your plant's needs for months, you would only need to add some Nitrogen for an extended vegetative stage. But some light mixes or soiless mediums such as coco will really benefit from a good feeding schedule, with basic nutrients (N, P, K) and also various additives (humic, fulvic, molasses & sugars, amino acids, ...). A good way to reduce costs for mother plants is to go organic: by making & using your own compost you can give the plant everything it needs with only trashes from your kitchen/garden. Hope this makes sense, happy growing! 👊

Dankezt This week was easy going. Had to up my nutrients a little and prep my 5 gal. Pots. Other than that I’ve done some pruning of fan leaves and super ripping at this point. Maybe topping soon.

Dankezt This week was easy going. Got that definite male out! The girls started drinking a lot. I’m now watering each pot about a gallon every other day. Going to start doing some high stress training soon. I want that Bigfootprint!

Hey y’all, how do you take your cuttings out of curiosity. That’s not my question though, my question is: Does anyone have experience with a Moistureland auto waterer or something equivalent, if so how many seconds of watering and at what time interval? Mine=90secs/3hrs

i would avoid those top feeding things because the truth is you cant really predict or measure how much water you need without measuring the weight of the soil, that's why autopots are worthwhile. you could maybe combine them, but i would be wary of any prescriptive thing , especially since flow would be difficult to measure, likely be inconsistent between waterings, and very well might lead to overwatered plants ... see how you're already getting puffy wrinkled leaves... good luck ! 🚀

Meassure how much water your system gives in a minute, then you need to figure how much water a day the plant needs per day. I would try to give 30 ml each time and as the plant grow, I would increase the number of waterings each day. As for cutting, take the lower branches that usually will not reach canopy level and cut in a 45°angle.
