First Grow - Lemon Orange

Kenn0rphan This seedling will stay in my mini grow case with 40w lights until my 2x4 tent is free. So the goal is this gal to grow slowly and healthy. I think due to some inadequate reflective material inside my mini grow environment the Lemon Orange is refusing to grow straight up. I'll definitely be fixing this before the next attempt.

Kenn0rphan Topping is coming...Topped Week 2 Day 3

Kenn0rphan Finally moved the girl from the miniature computer case grow environment to the main tent after cleaning it. This means she gets potted up! Moved into a 3 gallon plastic container (debating on later moving to 5 gallon fabric). Target PPFD is 300. Target PPFD for Day 2 is 330 Maybe some LST this week depending on new growth. Day 5 spread the top branches for more light below. Not sure why this girl is a little sluggish compared to her tent mates..but she is catching up now. Maybe some distaste for the tiny container I was previously keeping her in.

Kenn0rphan Lemon Orange is looking OK for the start of this week. LST will continue until the tops of all of the branches are approximately even...then a second topping will be coming. Training incident on Day 3 of this week. I dropped a little clonex into the wound and she perked up like a shot of adrenaline Topping on Day 4 for lower branches

Kenn0rphan Found a triple node side on one of the branches and decided to change my topping strategy to keep the triple node site. Excited to see what happens with this branch.

Kenn0rphan Up potted this lemon orange from a 3 gallon to a ~7 gallon fabric pot as its final pot. The plan is to just let the plant grow vertically now with minimal defoliation as needed.

Kenn0rphan lemon orange has turned into a bona fide bush. Very impressed with the vegetative growth of this plant. No need to defoliate yet...but it's gonna become necessary I'm sure. Just tucking leaves when the opportunities arise and watering as needed (about 1 gallon every 3 days at this rate).

Kenn0rphan Light stress is promoting bushy growth. I am trying to ride the thin line between enough light to keep her short and bulky but yet not stress the upper canopy too much. It's working...so so. The upper canopy is a bit stressed but she is bushy. top dressed the green gro Veg for the first round of nutrients outside of the mild tea and silica. I imagine the nutes in the soil is getting a little low after 8 weeks of veg. Flower is planned for two weeks from now

Kenn0rphan Judging by the slight purple on the leaf tips, I might have the beginnings of a CalMag deficiency I'm thinking. I will try a foliar spray just before lights off for Day 1 to address it. Other than that this Lemon Orange is doing well. I fed some Langbeinite to prepare to send to flower next week!

Kenn0rphan Lemon Orange is very happy and showing only minor complaints about her feeding schedule. I will continue to step up the bloom feed quantity as flower progresses.

Kenn0rphan Will update with more pictures as the week goes on. I added some updates to the previous week (as well as a comparison to her sister plant that was not topped)

Kenn0rphan Lemon Orange is looking good. She has some slight purple tinge to the end of her leaves. I will just monitor this sign for the time being and continue with a regular feeding schedule.

Kenn0rphan No issues with lemon orange this past week. Will be switching nutrients this week

Kenn0rphan I’ll add the nute details later this week. updated. She’s showing signs of maturing with the purple hue appearing in her leaves. Some of the lower leaves are yellowing and falling off.

Kenn0rphan Started this week with an average nute dose from the last two weeks. She hasn’t shown any real negative responses to this schedule so far. She is transitioning to a very cool purple and red hue on her leaves. Terps are starting to come through. Orange dominates the profile with a little skunky/funky sour background. Probably how the strongest terp profile in the tent.

Kenn0rphan Week 6 finished with a bit of colder temperatures than intended. Lemon orange didn’t seem to mind too much. I’m hoping she continues to develop and swell up over the next 2-3 weeks.

Kenn0rphan Unfortunately I’m not able to get any photos this week beyond my monitoring camera. Updated with some end of the week photos. I believe I will harvest this plant the end of week 9 at this rate.

Kenn0rphan No issues. Just picking off the leaves as they die and waiting for the buds to swell.

Kenn0rphan Planning to chop at the end of this week. Despite the fact the plant looks like it could potentially go another week after. Cut down 11/27. Another couple weeks of dry and cure

Kenn0rphan 83g is dry weight The smoke from lemon orange is right up my alley. There is a little bit of lemon on the nose but it is primarily dominated by orange. Kind of like an orange Fanta flavor. The nose on other phenos haven’t been so orange so far. The effect is relaxing and social. Mellow yet not a couch lock. Still had plenty of motivation to work on other projects. I will be keeping this one around as a mother.
