Canadian_Growology Starting early this year with an ice cream cake seed from 2023 harvest. We'll see how close to the mother it turns out to be. The mother was epic.
Received some clones in the mail. All healthy but the Candy seems to be struggling a bit.
Began prepping around the pots for fabric then wood chips all around this year. Should keep the weeds and pests down.
Happy growing 2024!
Cheers

Canadian_Growology Just keeping them growing. Transplanted into some small pots for now. I want them to get really root bound before I toss them in the ground in a month or so, weather depending.
I added some small leds to the bottom of the plants incase I want to take clones.
Replaced pots in ground with fabric instead of plastic. There were tons of roots from the close cedars growing inside the pots. So I dug them out and put 2 barriers underneath.
Should have have a better harvest just for that reason compare to last year. I think alot of the nutrient and water were stolen by the cedars.
Happy growing!

Canadian_Growology They're growing great.
Mixed the soils from each pot into each other for micro organism diversity and removed all old roots. There was a crazy fuck ton lol
Also added 5lbs of alpaca manure to the 50 gallons of soil in each pot. I will let that sit for about a month then add my gaia green fertilizers a week or so prior to transplanting the plants into the soil. I'll water in the plants with a dilute compost tea.
I removed the plastic around the pots and replaced with landscape fabric then laid 3.5 mil woven fabric down to prep for wood chips.
It's all about the prep 😉
Happy growing!

Canadian_Growology Plants are growing fine. I'm more focusing on soil prep at this point in the season.

Canadian_Growology Got the pots ready for planting. I still have some work to do around the pots but it's mostly done and I'll be adding removable pots for the autoflowers.
Received 2 free ethos autoflowers with my ethos early girl multipack order. Fairly stoked about that! I've never grown autoflowers so it'll be a year of experimenting.
Cheers!

Canadian_Growology Haven't watered once since weve been getting just enough rain. Ive trimmed the insides once so far this year. I'll be doing another in about 2 weeks from now. Overall growing great and has gone through some pretty rough storms with no damage!

Canadian_Growology Growing amazingly. I started compost teas with rabbit manure and worm casting. I grinder up the rabbit pellets before adding to tea. Also threw down some 444 284 and Azos with mychorrizal with peat and perlite as a top dress. Sprayed with kelp 1 once so far this year. I'll be doing that once a month from now on until flowering.
Seriously looks amazing, I'm stealing some of your routines lol. Curious on the Candy Store, mine is smaller than I expected as it was advertised as a big grower but it's not. I did notice that when I got it there were a few 3 pointed leaves so I figure is went to bloom then vegged back.
@Roxdog, Im just outside of Windsor. Candy store is growing well but different than the others. Less internodal spacing. As for size I think it's gonna get big come August. I had 3 leaves on most of my clones at one point or another but they reverted back nicely.
Strange thing is my cherry kinda started flowering and is smaller than the one I grew 2 years ago. Overall the rest are pretty consistant and about to explode with these hot days coming!
Cheers man!
@Canadian_Growology, Hey Guys I'm in the same boat and I'm sure we got the cuts all from same person I'm in Ontario too. Mine are 5 feet wide but only about 4 feet tall at this point. I've been training them to go wide but am r3ally hoping they stretch out and go taller to get them in 8 feet scrog. Have you guys noticed and pre stretch yet? By the way mine went into flower two on delivery and any cuts I took of them we're unsuccessful... How big are yours now? Cheers from Ontario
