My second Grow on home lights

OLDSKIN Lights are led 11w x4. Then I go to cfl 30w X2 along with led 11w X2. I use a grow bag with 60/40 perlite/soil. Mix. Super strong nuts for an early plant but for such a low scale grow you will see how it works out quite nicely. Plant is living in a hollowed out record cabinet lined in foil I later buy a tent for future grows but this was it for the most part. Lights are movable and clipable. Plant receives no assistance with air circulation or c02 levels. Stay tuned I have already got to the last week or 2 of growing so updates will come quilckly. Total cast excluding tent as it was bought at the end was around £45. Breakdown £20 lights £10 light clips £5 perlite £5 nutes £5 string/tape/grow bags ect. Running cost is cost of 4 led household lights and at most 25l of water for the entire grow excluding the flushing shower I give it at the end. I have pH testers and all the extras I find they are not needed for an low quantity grower like myself.

OLDSKIN Plant showing fast growth considering the light set up. Seems to healthy and happy taking nutes so early.

OLDSKIN Bushy growth for week 3 a little hight gain bit mainly just leaf gain. Plant seems to be healthy and showing signs of at least 2 new leaf sets per day. Though they are small the leaves all quickly get up to size.

OLDSKIN Trimmed the leaves back and lst on the branches topped this week or next can't quite remember. Growing well though. And no signs of stress at all

OLDSKIN Another good week of growing, signs of the slightest growth around the first sexing areas but still early. I switch to 12/12 for next week and by the end of it you can see sex staring to develop I'm sure next week's pictures will show them. Will water the plants tonight with plain water to rinse the soil ready for my bloom food to start. She now has a light smell but nothing over powering.

OLDSKIN Moving onto 12/12 the plant grew out it's bush quite a lot, toward the end of the week sex is very noticeable and smell has become apparent from a short distance but not overpowering. I have immediately switched over to a nuts mix with a high amount of bloom food. Lst has become quite intensive with these low watt lights I have to ensure the plants have enough space to grow and not touch the light each day while still being very close to get maximum benefit from the light. From now on I prune leaves when they start to cover new growth too much. Once bud phase truly begins I will do one or two bigger pruning sessions but always only to expose new growth. I tried, at first keep all the big 1st set fan leaves on each node but as the weeks go on I find myself removing anything bid enough to potentially be covering growth.

OLDSKIN buds now growing plant is still staying healthy and has now begun to slow down the veg growth next veg explosion is when sugar leaves and 3rd set mini fan leaves grow. All in all looking good.

OLDSKIN Another week with outstanding growth. Small lights an old record box and a few cheap things and I have some nice buds forming. Just time and attention now I give the plant about 10mins care a day

OLDSKIN This week just some lst and light pruning. Buds are doing nicely I'm only using warm white light now. The bud areas are growing densely as they swell and clear sticky crystal production has begun. I water as I feel I need to but I think I'm using about 5l every 1.5 weeks, the soil drains well but I still don't overeater when I do as the plant does not have a good enough set up for anymore but is happy with what it gets no signs of problem areas unlike my first grow.

OLDSKIN Buds are getting quite big now good tops on all the branches. I had cut the lowest few node branches off early on but had forgot to mention it. Popcorn buds are at least the size of a large grape any that wouldn't have grown I cut away. It was very easy to notice which bud areas were struggling to get the light they needed. The important part was to find all the slow growth at once and cut them all at the same time to minimise stress. No more nutes are going in this plant from now, I'm liking the look of things and I can see it will soon Be time to flush. I will let the current nutes get used up through next week and then flush the substrate for any residual nuts mix.

OLDSKIN As I said previously this week was all about using up the reserves of water in the plant and soil, no extra water has been added. Buds are dense and quite big, from reading I know that this week of drying out the soil will be beneficial for me next week. The plant will respond better when I flush the plant with plain water and I should get one last push of bud growth from sudden introduction of fresh water. Clean smoke for me is a must.

OLDSKIN This week I end it with flushing, I stuck it in the bath and showered 21 degree ish water gently over the soil for about 20 min. After that I let the plant bag drain for about 20min and placed it back in its holding tub I'm guess I am holding no more than 5 litres in the soil at this point. Day by Day I check the hair and crystal colour. Changes have started but I'm thinking optimal cutting date will be tomorrow ready for my 3rd grow seedlings to take reign over then tent for the coming months. Grow three are the same strain but 2 plants future grows will hold different strains. Harvest week will follow as well as updating for weighings and an after curing review in the future. So far the fresh plant smells citric and has a sweet haze smell to it..
