Homegrown79 All seeds germinated from planting to their first signs of life within one week.
I was pleasantly surprised because it was from a seed supplier that I've never used before.
I'm going to be using techniques that I've been warned against, especially when it comes to Auto Plants, so this is quite the experiment.
To start with I haven't put the seeds into their "final" pot and I will be repotting them at certain stages..
I'll try to prove that auto flowers are not as fragile as you may think and by using these techniques you CAN improve on yield etc
Wish me luck!!! Lol

Homegrown79 The plants are coming on well over the last week.
I am not using any nutrients, just yet, as I bought brand new soil and I know the soil is not depleted of nutrients just yet.
I will slowly add nutrients on week 3 at a does that is a 3rd of the recommended daily dose.
I am doing it this way as not not cause any growth issues which is hard to detect in what are still essentially "saplings"
At week 3 I am going to be changing from a 600w HPS to to a 1000w led.
The light set I plan on using is going to be slightly different to that of a "traditional grower" this will all become clear later on.
Full spectrum light, with a strong light density is vital for yield and dense buds.
Put it this way....I'm experimenting so you don't have to 😂

Homegrown79 Well, this week I have changed from a 600 watt HPS to a Mars-Hydro 1000watt LED.
I also have a 600Watt Mars-hydro led.
I have just purchased a Co2 bag too to make sure that my plants have the best start.
Next week I'm going to introduce two 1000watt LEDs that offer a different colour spectrum to maximize my light density.
The seeds I got from discountseeds.com have far gone above and beyond what I expected. Now, they are a genuine seed bank that offer premium seeds at a great price.
The freebies you get when you order are great too...

Homegrown79 The C02 seems to be doing it's job.
I bought a tube heater for the tent to regulate the temperature a bit more due to the weather getting a bit colder.
I also started a bit of LST (Low Stress Training) which will help with yield and exposure of the lower bid sites.
I am thinking of reintroducing my 600watt HPS to the tent to help with temperature regulation.
I will then switch the Mars-Hydro LEDs to the sides of the tent to penetrate the lower sites....I'll see.
The one thing that has surprised me this week is there is a slight smell.
The smell is off the plants and you could swear they have produced buds!
The seeds I got from discountseeds.com have certainly come good.
@jeffro4891, Careful growmie, Gaia green range takes awhile for the first dose of nutrients to begin working in the soil. I’d try only feed using Gaia green once every 4-8 week depending on the size of plants
I just started my first grow ever of any kind about 5 weeks ago with gorilla Z and I have to say that I'm surprised how she looks. I've got one in a little 2x2x5. The only knowledge I have is through my own studies so I don't really have much to say other than I used nothing but mother earth groundswell as my medium and rubbed in some gaia greens all purpose 444 . I used a 3 gallon bag and used one TBLS of gaia per gallon of soil. Up until last week all had had given her was strictly water. And I think she is healthy. I honestly don't know for sure

@Golden,thank you very much. I’ve pretty much been to nervous to add too much notes. I’m fox farm big bloom now. I’m currently wanting to learn lst. And when is a good time to try to lollipop
