Fuzzel This will be my second grow, starting before my first is even finished. Am really excited to use a quality seed by RQS and to know what kind of plant to expect this time. Since I expect to harvest one of the plants in my tent much sooner than the other a space for this Quick One will be available in about 4 weeks. Until then I got a small LED that can provide up to 250 ppfd on a small area and a little seedling box for the start. Maybe a few hours of sun on the balcony on weekends as well. Will probably end up on the smaller side of what this already smal genetic can do but that alright, I just cant wait to get another plant along the way😅. Means I got space for the next project while as the Quick One finishes up. Germination on paper towel worked out fine. After 30hours (of looking intently at the seed every 30minutes😁) I saw the shell splitting open and the radicle below so I immediately planted itabout 1,5cm deep. I prepared a 180mL pot with wetted BioBizz LightMix + a few grains of Dynomyco the day before, so that had the same time to develop as it took the seed to break open.

Fuzzel Seed germinated after a a Day on a wet papertowel and was planted in soil. The Seedling then emerged from soil 2 Days later marking the start of the First week. Lets See what this Quick One can do Did transplant a few bits of soil from another ongoing grow in hopes of introducing some useful micro-organisms. Since she was growing 2cm a day with no sign of stopping I just blocked most of the 660nm Red LEDs. Most of the Diodes on my Veg-light are 3000k and 5000k anyway, so I rather block out the 660's and increase the overall intensity to get a higher ratio of blue. << Week 1>> Height: from 0cm to 7cm

Fuzzel Fittingly this Quick One puts the pedal to the metal, though I have also learned much about about providing good conditions to young plants during my first grow, so lets call it a team effort 😁 The roots already reached through the bottom of the pot at Day 6 so I think about repotting soon. Since the plant wont fit into the mini-greenhouse once it's in a bigger pot I am starting to lower humidity (around 65% for now). << Week 2>> Height: from 7,5cm to 11cm

Fuzzel Did some LST to the branches in the 5 lowest nodes and defoliated another 4 fanleaves from the main stem. Carefully added flowering nutrients once. Still manage to catch an hour of sunlight every other day on the balcony. Have her 10-12 hours in the tent with my late flowering stage plant and put her under the 15w LED for the rest of the day. Also shortened the light time by the end of this week. The leaves started drooping and the whole plant started looking sad after about 15hours a few days in a row, like she was usually looking at night so I let her sleep more. << Week 6>> Height: from 34cm to 40 cm

Fuzzel Reduced Daytime even more, since she starts looking sad after about 14h of light. Also reduced the nutrients for this week, since she does not seem to need them for now. Also had some Tony Brown spots in a few leaves after the Last feeding, so I let her chill a little.

watering regime think girl is in lock out or in heavy root issue, try to smell next to, any mould fungus smell ? root rot or bound started she is far from beeing hungry she is sick, could be ph, but looks more like watering issue lifting pots and watering when soil is dry is only way. sort your wet/dry/wet/dry regime, add 0.5 ml/l of calmag for her path to be easier , or maybe even transplant to a bigger pot with loads of fresh soil, but have good watering regime too.

Fuzzel Problems are continuing. Leaves get slightly yellow then brown spots appear and the leave dies over a few days. Flushed the plant in its old 2L pot with about 800mL of water. About 300mL drained out the bottom. Replanted into in a fabric pot with additional 4L of LightMix that I watered very little. I hope this new soil can dry out the old after flushing and also be a new home with good pH for the roots. Since the old soil was full of roots I did not dare removing any of it. Still dont know what exactly was wrong, but since light mix comes with some nutrients from the start I will only use pH adjusted water for now. Hope she survives, but I guess the buds are already suffering.🙏 Update: The whole plant ist taking on lighter Green now, but Bud growth continues. I feel that I at least slowed down, whatever is damaging the plant.

Fuzzel Whatever nutrient lookout or root issue I had, flushing and moving into a bigger Pot with more soil did the trick: the brown spots stopped growing, no more dying leaves and other leaves are getting darker green again. Since my tent ist full now, I moved her into my room and Put her under 2*20w Cosmorrow Bloom LEDs for the remainder of this grow. Now lets try to finish this without further issues, only a few weeks left I guess.

Fuzzel Sizing up nicely. Still catch a few hours of Sun on the balcony 🌞 every other day, apart from that the cheap 15w Led seems to suffice. Trichomes are getting cloudy.

Fuzzel She was really getting old, buds did not fatten as much as previous weeks. Decided to initiate the 48 darkness period on day 86, since leaves got yellow very quick now and I did not want to give any more nutrients at this stage. Trichomes were mostly cloudy and some clear ones as well, almost no amber. Would have loved to give her some more time but the plant wasnt looking too good and I did not want to harvest a half dead zombie. I'll see how that turns out. Will post full harvest Info once shes dried and weighed.

Fuzzel Strong initial growth. Had some trouble with the pot being too small and probably overwatering. Lost half the leaves during first weeks of flower but recovered in the end.

Wassuuuuup! Nice diary, thanks for the share. An advise from someone that's only starting to grow now, but has done a lot of reseach. Consider fabric pots to improve root development. For autos im using 3gal fabric pots. Search and if you find that it makes sence, try it! 😜 Besides that, transplantig autos is not usually a good choice, buuuut, if it works for you its perfect 🏽 See yaaa

Fuzzelcommented1y ago
@Ikalimkury, Thanks for dropping that info. In theory I always knew that I did not do the smart thing with both autos I've grown so far (transplanting the quick one twice, and topping the blue cheese twice), but at least now I know how far I shouldnt go. I will probably grow a few F1 Orions outdoor this summer in 20L fabric pots without transplanting. I have come across some research suggesting that (some) autos will veg a week or two longer if they have a lot of room to expand their roots. I want to try some high grade autos at some point, but for now I am really happy with photoperiods. I feel like there is less room for error if you want great yield and quality when growing an auto strain for the first time comparerd to photos.
