GeorgeMaas Day 8 - clones looking happy, I can see some lower leaves getting a bit lighter/yellowish, this just means the clones are using the nutrients stored in the leaves. Some days ago they looked a bit droopy after partly opening the air vents. Closed them again to get the humidity up again. I was only spraying the outside of the lid but started spraying the leaves too a bit. They’re doing fine again now. No signs of roots yet btw, but its only day 7 so no worries.

GeorgeMaas day 14 - transferred the clones over to 2 liter pots and moved them to the growtent with a hans panel 180w led on veg mode (full capacity, 60 cm above the plants). the pots are filled with a mix of coco and perlite (70/30). I noticed that reading ph from ph drip testers isnt ideal, had a cheap ph tester but it broke down. ordered a new digitsl ph tester, hopefully it will arrive soon. I will feed the plants every other watering. day 19 - i spotted some burned leave tips which could indicate a nutrient burn. Maybe I should aim for even more runoff water. also noticed a light color between the veins of the leaves. I will keep my ph ranging up and down from now on (gave strictly around 5.7 before) just fed them with around 6.5 with calmag only. Hope that will do!

GeorgeMaas Plants are growing, but I'm not totally happy, thet look pale and I haven't figured out why yet. Maybe I didn't flush enough last week or I'm underfeeding. I dont think its the light, ph or temp/humidity cause I'm paying close attention to those. by the way, I topped them 2 days ago :)

GeorgeMaas This is getting demotivating.. third indoor grow and third time troubles. I really cant figure it out. i think i overdosed on calmag. i shouldnt have given any unless i saw deficiencies. - i upped the nutes over the last week step-by-step - my temps is 22 degrees - ph of water always between 5.5 and 5.7 - ph of runnoff always between 6.1 and 6.2 - humidity mostly around 60% - 80 watt led power at 30 cm to 40 cm distance as recommend I flushed today with 13 litres per pot (which is two times the size of the pot). Lets hope it will help. I'm out of options at this point...

GeorgeMaas Sorry it took me a bit longer to write an update. I feel like the flush did the ladies well. Curious how you folks think they look now. I do think the new growth is still very light coloured. I changed the LED light for another one I have. This one is a bit more powerful. I will spread the plants over 2 tents this week so I can do a comparison between the two lights in the end (one is a 180w Hans Panel, other is a Spectrabox Pro 4s) I have the feeling that a big part of the affected leaves by the deficiencies started turning darker green over the last 1,5 week. I hope I will be able to stabilize them further over the next week. I noticed high humidity levels overnight (when lights are off) so I ordered a dehumidifier. I'm having problems with the delivery company but hopefully I will have it setup next week.

GeorgeMaas its been ages since my last post. plants went through so much, can't believe they're looking so good now. A fan inside my led light stopped working so light was overheating. quickly ordered a second hand light so i could let this one get repaired. now back with the original light. finally also almost 100% thrips free (made a spray from neem oil and soap couple weeks ago) just defoliated the plants for a second time to make sure all tops are in direct light. only kept 4 plants by the way, I waited with switching the light schedule until they looked healthy enough, so they overgrew the tent altogether. also had extreme humidity when lights were off (up to 80%) so i ordered a dehumidifier which took 2 weeks longer to be delivered. Jup, we been through hell and back, but we're still going, strong that isss. I'm happy guys!!

GeorgeMaas Last week was pretty stable. The buds are steadily fattening up, just how we like it. They all got burned leave tips, I think it has to do with too little runoff, because I’m using GHE’s flora hydro schedule on exactly half strength. Its not getting worse over the last days so its probably not a big deal. Like I said last week, I have a dehumidifier now. I got it hooked up to one of the air holes on the bottom. My sonoff temperature and humidity sensor checks when it goes over 65% rh, and fires on the dehumidifier whenever needed to blow difrectly in the tent. I do wonder if I could save on electricity to get a stronger exhaust fan. Because the humidity outside the tent is low enough, so more air circulation could fix the humidity issue without actively dehumidifying I think. I’ve been eyeing on the Apogee SQ-102 PAR meter. Its not perfect for led light but it does give a pretty good idea about the amount of light hitting the plants. I’d like to get a better idea of the optimal distance between plants and light. Especially since i ran into loads of light burn issues in this grow and past grows.

you are feeding to much flora bloom you should be a 2 ml max per gallons and up the micro to 4 ml

Hey @Tonino, the growdiaries android app is so buggy.. it completely mixed up the values I entered. I gave 5ml/gal micro, 5ml/gal grow, 2.5ml/gal bloom over the last 2 weeks. Makes a lot more sense huh? :D (I think you had the same bug a couple weeks ago where the values mixed up, strange)

What's the night time temperature? What's the EC value of your run-off? What's the EC value of your feeding water? Where does the fresh air come from? Where does your air exhaust goes to? Do you have fans inside to move the air around and also strengthen your ladies?
GeorgeMaas
GeorgeMaas commented7y ago
- light temp around 18 degrees celcius at night last days- will check ec of runoff tomorrow again- ppm of feeding water is around 800 total- exhaust goes out on top through exhaust fan. no windows open these days, its too cold for that- i have a small fan inside as well to keep plants moving a bit and circulate air even more

Looks like in the past few weeks they were showing a Nitrogen deficiency. Then it also looked like you pounded them with way too much nutrients, and the wrong nutrients. Then you flushed and now they are showing over watering symptoms. I think this week is probably the only week you gave them close to correct nutrients, however usually you don't want to give nutrients as part of or directly after a flush. Either way, the amounts posted are good imo. I would get a heater in that room with them, 18c is ok for cannabis, but its really on the cold end. You should try to get it to low of 20c, and bring up the high to 25c, if you can. Wait it out and see how it goes, good luck with your grow!

Hi @BeefWellingtons! thanks a lot for thinking with me! The growdiaries android app is so buggy.. it completely mixed up the values I entered. I gave 5ml/gal micro, 5ml/gal grow, 2.5ml/gal bloom over the last 2 weeks. I flushed right before the pictures and they indeed were impacted by it, but only for 12 hours max fortunately. You think it is/was a Nitrogen deficiency? I also thought of Potassium. I think the root of all the issues is that I was overdosing my tiny cuttings with cal mag supplement. I should've flushed them earlier, thats a learning for sure :)

@GeorgeMaas, you could be right. I look up 'cannabis deficiency chart' and then look at images. Could be a lot of things. Usually is a main NPK as most nutrient regimes include the other lesser nutes, but sometimes not. Also, try using the website for your updates, I found it easier than the app, http://growdiaries.com.
