tucka21 Trying 2 different methods 1) Strawberry banana auto straight into a 5l pot with sohm organic living soil bottom half of pot, top half 50% mix with biomix whilst the centre middle of about a cup size is 100% biomix giving the plant chance to access the different nutrients at different stages of its lifespan. Gelato planted in a starter pot with just biomix to be transferred at a later date into a pot full of organic living soil.

tucka21 First day of life for both plants. I will update weekly with photos and progress. Thanks for all the nice comments. A few pictures of my forbidden runtz by fast buds plant which is a couple weeks from maturing. I had to instantly grow another one it was that good last time. If the new strains are anywhere as strong and tasty as the forbidden runtz I’ll be a very happy man !!

tucka21 Plants are 10 days old now, everything is going well, and they seem to be liking the organic living soil. The gelato is slightly bigger than the strawberry banana auto but it was expected due to the different life span cycles

tucka21 It’s been a weird week, firstly I fimmed both plants, and they reacted well, after a few days I topped the strawberry banana and removed the fimmed leaves. I must say the plant handled this well and is growing nicely. It actually has 6 heads now. However the gelato which I fimmed again ( trying different growing methods) didn’t react well and I actually thought it was dying. It has now recovered after a few days and started to grow again which is good. I wouldn’t recommend fimming as topping definitely gets better results

tucka21 Weird week due to both the plants reacting differently to the same soil. My strawberry and banana is thriving with a total of 8 heads. Where has the gelato looks ill even though it has started flowering. Not sure what to do about the gelato plant as im using living organic soil, so not quite sure what to add to soil to reverse the dying rusty looking leaves. Any suggestions guys ?
Hi guys, wondering if you can help me with my gelato auto plant. It is planted exactly the same way as my other plant which is thriving (see my diary) but the leaves on it are dying and it has rusty looking spots on the leaves. It is planted in sohum living soil.
Looks like your PH is out of range which can cause deficiencies to show up. Check your soil PH or runoff PH to make sure its in the range of 6.0 to 7.0 If its above 7 then slowly correct with PH of 6.0 when you water. or if its below 6.0 then correct with 7.0 water until you get within 6.2-6.8. Then slowly adjust the opposite end to balance back to 6.5. Try not to balance it in one massive flush of water as you will wash away the good. And to help the plant recover using a folar spray will help get the nutrients its missing. cal mag being the main deficiency right now.
Happy Growing
Hello you have a calmag deficience. To correct it you need to use liquid calmag or epsom salts. For a quicker effect spray your plant with it. Then measure the ph of the drain when you water your plant. Correct it if it needs to have ph around 6. Hope this helps you. Bye

Hi guys, any suggestions as to why my gelato plant started flowering then stopped ?? Too leaves look a bit droopy too any help much appreciated all pics are in my strawberry banana diary
Hello this kind of droopy leaves is due to too much nutrients. It arrives often with sativas. It is called eagle foot. Good luck.

tucka21 Good week no problems with the strawberry banana buds are starting to connect together.
I changed my light cycle to 12/12 to kick start the flowering process of the gelato plant which had stopped flowering. Thank the cannabis gods it has started to flower again 😂

tucka21 Been a bit busy with work so missed a week update. However buds are starting to get frosty on the strawberry banana auto, height is 15”. My gelato auto is flowering now that I switched it to 12-12 light. I hope it reaches the end of its cycle because it is a whopping 36” tall with flower sites everywhere
tucka21 The grow went smoothly apart from having to change light. I’d recommend sohum organic soil. Only needs water no nutrients for the entire cycle. And the results are amazing
