CultivateIT I pre-amended Happy Frog soil with Dr Earth fertilizer at a rate of 2tbls/gallon of medium(40% veg, 40% bloom, 20% AP) and 2 cups of worm castings. It was left outside to cook for one week prior to sowing seed directly into the soil. Just like my other outdoor grow, I’ll be rotating this plant into my indoor grow tent to finish flowering as the other plants finish their cycle. I do this because I use my tent to dry and I can better control RH as I live in a humid climate. This season, I have four strains that I’m growing about 30 days apart from each other.

CultivateIT I gave just a dash of Recharge and Big Bloom this week just because I had a little left over from feeding my other plants. Nothing exciting yet, obviously. 😄

CultivateIT It’s the first official week of flower and she’s really stretching. I did some more LST and gave a final spray of neem oil.

CultivateIT It’s been a rough two weeks for this gal. I moved her inside to finish flowering. Her last few days she developed what I thought was just minor pest damage, but within a week of being inside, it’s progressed to major necrosis on the fan leaves. She was given her final top dressing with worm castings and Dr Earth Flower Girl. Hopefully, she can make it through these last few weeks of flower, but I’m not optimistic.

CultivateITstarted grow question 4y ago
Started out looking like minor pest damage, but turned to necrosis with some leaf cupping. It got worse after moving indoors. I’m wondering if it’s a combo of pest, disease, and some heat/light stress from moving inside. Any feedback would be appreciated.😃

After a whole lot of research, I’m going to chalk this one up as a hot case of septoria. It also doesn’t help that she has turned into a caterpillar buffet. I picked off 4 caterpillars and removed all of the larger diseased fan leaves while leaving most of the bud leaves.

CultivateIT Well, she made it another week and despite a nasty case of septoria, I think she’ll pull through until harvest. I trimmed most of the affected fan leaves, but left some to not totally stunt her. I have also removed 6 caterpillars this week. No doubt the yields will be hurt, but I think she has performed surprisingly well through all the stress. The buds really swelling and I think she should be ready in a week or two. The trichomes are at about 90% cloudy/10% clear. She’s getting super sticky and stinky. The smell is like skunky jam and grapefruit pith.

CultivateIT Day 67 and really starting to dense up. The buds are solid and super sticky. She started to foxtail a little so I raised the light a couple inches.

CultivateIT After 48 hours of darkness, she was harvested and washed. I dropped the temp by top dressing with ice and lowered the humidity in a last ditch effort to bulk her up and it seemed to work well. The smaller buds packed on a lot of weight in the last 72 hours. She is hung up whole in the tent and I’m aiming for 65-70F and 60-65 RH. I harvested with about 10-15% amber and the main cola had around 30% amber. I knew I was in for a couch lock strain already, so I wanted to really take my time to see what she would do. I’m glad I did. If anything, this run has taught me to be a little more patient when it comes to harvesting. I didn’t realized how much buds can swell in their final hours. Next update will be the harvest update. Thanks for stopping by and I’ll see you in about a month. 👊

CultivateIT Not so disease resistant, but she powered through until the end. After a 4 week cure, I was left with 48 grams of great bud. Lost some to bud rot and I’m sure the leaf spot hurt the final yield but the outdoor weather was brutal this summer. She had a good bud to leaf ratio, so trimming was a breeze.
