Mr_Positivo JULY 26 update. With the flower room maturing, time to think ahead to the next round. Looking to run these Durban Thai fems. along with the 3 Cookies & cream super pheno clones at the beginning of September. Really looking forward to this. Cheers GD friends. Mr Souls handiwork, DTC99. I am very excited to plant these and Cinderella XX, and experience old school genetics. I am especially interested in the Thai effects as I think this may be the link to the strains of my early days toking and growing up on a south pacific island. We grew up with Thai sticks and what else, I am not sure, but it was fun and strong. Do any of my GD friends know what plants strains predominate NZ? lmk. Happy growing, all.

Mr_Positivo Welcome to my next adventure, GD friends. Introducing Durban Thai Cindy99 XX (DTC99XX) by Mr Soul, Brothers Grimm, the dude who bought this legendary C99 breeding strain into the world. I am planning to run these three girls with the 3 Exotic Genetics Cookies and Cream clones from the super frosty pheno I sifted. Tongue in cheek on the word 'sifted'. I added Jordan Myco dusting to seedlings before placing into Root riot plugs. This stuff works. Germinated and sprouted in less than 3 days. Aiming for an early September flower start. ha ha.

Mr_Positivo Hi all. DT Cindy is gathering vigor and growing speed. Lost a sister along the way. Popping a few more C99XX so I am covered incase of any future emergency, which is always my mode to include at least one per grow, so far. Looking to see good growth over the next few weeks. Cheers and happy growing.

Mr_Positivo Fellow farmers, Ladies in waiting, C99 XX, popped this week and are growing well. The DT's are 2 weeks old today and are taking off after an initial slow start because of my screw up. The Myco Jordan slurry Tech application needs finessing on my end. An overzealous application of the slurry can suffocate the roots which is what I suspect I did. Also, the soil I was transplanting into was too dry and the myco slurry probably dried off around the roots. My transplanting skills need an upgrade. The Cookies clones were most affected but are on the mend now I got the gist of it. In future, I will transplant to moist soil. When using slurry tech, moisten pot by watering often so the myco slurry dissolves and is washed into surrounding coco. I Was checking Brothers Grimm IG. The DTC99XX is a hot ticket, apparently. Not yet available on the market and a bunch of growers are asking for it. Legendary shit, they say. Feeling lucky to have some of these beans. They are looking beautiful as seedlings. Hoping my grow skills can do them justice. Thanks for stopping by. Cheers bro-mates and happy growing.

Mr_Positivo Transplanted the Cindy's and the Cookies into 1 gal pots. A much more successful transition for most of the plants this time around. Lost C99's sister along the way. I had washed the soil and corrected it for ph and added low nutes and myco's. The soil was very wet but this doesn't seem to be a problem. Growth has not stalled. They seem happy except the DT Cindy's are showing signs of hunger. Do I feed or do I hold back and wait for the soil to dry out? Probably I will wait another few days. Happy growing, friends.

Mr_Positivo Topped the girls except for Cindy who is 2 weeks behind the rest. I am growing the girls as trees. 1 top and that's it. Let's see how well that works out. haha. Looking to repot to 3 gallons in a few days. Massive root growth wanted. 55-day min. in Veg. The DT's are on their way. Cookies lagging. 2-3 doses a week of Myco Jordan is recommended. Will implement. Perhaps the most important lesson from last Citrique grow is the difference good roots can make. We know this already but let me share this. The roots of the Citrique pots were so packed one could not penetrate the root mass with your pointest finger. It felt solid like hard dirt. The result? I could use 100% power on my LED fixture without damaging the leaves by turning them dark green thick and leathery. The buds didn't dry out and pistils didn't die off early. Resin production was better by an order of magnitude. Isn't this the result most of us are looking for! Using a light rail light mover helps achieve better results but the real difference can be seen between Citrique and Cookies. Cookies were transplanted late, Their roots didn't develop enough. The result was sub-par shit typical of my grows so far. Harvest delivers a few good ripe buds, the rest good for extracts only. Myco Jordan made the difference. I have tried Great White, MJ seems to me to be in another league. I am looking forward to putting these girls into flower. Cheers grow mates.

Mr_Positivo Dear Friends of CINDY & grow mates. Potted up to 3 gallons. Their final pot. Paying more attention to transplant this time. I Let girls dry out a bit before transplanting. Now they are potted, I am watering the perimeter of new pot only, hoping to create a gradient of moisture to draw roots outwards. I can confirm post-mortem, the previous Citrique grow had excellent roots. The whole pot was packed. Looking for same here. Conversely, The late transplanted, cookies and cream roots, did not. They sucked. I think I know what happened but only time will tell. Either way, no girl gets to go into flower until roots are A+. I have two weeks to draw them out. I am foliar feeding Roots to plants 2x p.w. Probably will feed what they need which is about 4oz per day for the bigger plants. CINDY 99 I will top today. All other girls were topped over a week ago. Happy growing all.

Mr_Positivo GD friends and country men,. Pushing veg this week with increased feeding frequency. Only feeding/ watering what they are consuming though, which is about 8 oz per day. CindyXX is 2 weeks behind the rest and she is still the runt of the litter. I will go another week before the flip. Roots roots roots. They are poking through the bottom of the pot. A good sign. DT's are showing solid roots as are the Cookies. Looking forward to flower. Cheers Buds. Happy growing to all

Mr_Positivo Nice thick stems developing on these ladies. This should bode well for the budding stage. Loving the structure of the Cookies. The center of the plant is open and allows light penetration. The Cindy's are densely vegetive. I will be pruning them intermittently to expose bud sites. Going lighter on the N. Adjusted nutrient ratio accordingly. Trying to prevent excessive stretch. Red channel lower by 40%. Feeding less often. Let the fun start. Happy growing, Grow mates.

Mr_Positivo GD friends and bud mates. 2nd week of flower. Stretch appears to be minimal. Canopy is starting to lift. The Cindy's are fairly compact bushy growing plants. With a week or so of stretch left, I am going to add back the reduced 40% red spectrum on flower day14. Pistils are starting to show but not massively so and not quickly. Is this a function of reducing the red channel during stretch? I don't really know. Interesting to note, the structure of the Cookies is a result of cloning in the flower stage. Symmetrical branching of the Cindy's is replaced by alternate branching with steeper angled branches and taller higher reaching plants with more open structure. To me, this is a good thing. Nute levels and feeding schedule remains the same for the next 2 weeks. So far so good. I continue to defoliate and shape the girls to bring forth the best bud prospects, erring on the side of defoliating too much, I suspect. 50+ bud sites for now for my 3x3. 4 blue marked lower branches I am spraying with Tiresias mist. Cheers all.

Mr_Positivo Weed lads, LED is running 100% on all channels. Mg deficiency is still present. Girls are hungry because I am underfeeding. For each Watt I should be at same level ppm. Upping to 750 next feed. Stopping the Roots and Myco supplementation. Noticed something odd with the cookies. Their stems were sticky with resin but no trichomes present on leaves yet. I hope this is a good omen. I am keeping up with the defoliation around the buds sites. Trying not to remove too many fan leaves. Barring a few tweaks, all seems to be proceeding according to plan. Cheers GD friends, happy growing to all.

Mr_Positivo Grow mates, Frost is evident. Room smells nicely floral and a bit funky. Very different from the Citrique. Nothing diesel about this strain. Dropping the myco and roots. A/B ratio changed to 7/13. Gave the girls a light flush. The run off was all over the place. Not sure why but probably has to do with not stopping perimeter pot watering earlier and watering more deeply? 4 pots were at 380ppm which seems way low to me. I gave them a feed at 750ppm and they loved it. Trying different camera settings to show pistils. Still a work in progress. Yep. I stripped more than I was intending. @chrondongrows inspired me at the critical moment. I am weak, what can i say. No budlets are showing N toxicity this time. Although a few top leaves are showing more of a sheen than I am comfortable with. ie reason for flush. Cindy got sticky mid week. She is putting out more buds than the others. This strain is looking promising. I have 4 clones in the wings ready for the next round and 2 DTs. Happy growing all.

Mr_Positivo Hi grow mates, I have been enjoying a few days away from the eastern climes in sunny California. I gave the ladies a good feeding before I left. Entering week 5, the girls are going to be at peak hunger. The garden is progressing. The DT is wonderfully smelly and sticky as is the C99. DT must be showing off her Durban lineage, or Thai. DT smells more fruity than Cindy who has whiff of baby poop in her terps. Could that be correct? Cindy is two weeks younger but pistils have been turning brown already for the last 2 weeks. I think I have been too aggressive with feeding her. The top leaves on all the plants indicate as much, but the poor lighting doesn't help show the canopy at its best. Too late to fix this nute problem at this point but will adjust next round. (I have 4 Cindy and 2 DT clones in the wings) That said, the ladies are frosty. Payback for the long veg and root pampering. Surprisingly, Cookies are not as smelly as the others, perhaps because her kush side means she smells less floral and more like dirt which is certainly true at this stage. Anyway, onwards and upwards. Happy growing all.

Mr_Positivo Looking for cotton balls, got lambs wool. I have been looking closely at the pistils of all 3 strains. Durban shows the best, strongest looking most spikey pistils but not exactly cotton balling. Cindy pistils are different. Hers are heavily pressed by the forces of gravity and collapse back in on themselves (lambs woollen) Bottom line, I pressed too hard on the nutes. Feeding down to 380ppm over the next few days, then to 200. Its a bit late to expect improved pistil production. Lets see. Buds are still swelling. My nute program was similar but not similar enough to Citrique's whose pistil production was phenomenal. Time to do some study.! I am seeing big differences in nute requirements between Cookies and the Cindy's. The Kush of the cookies needs more Mag in flower and a leaner nute mix, I am guessing. I have produced seeds off these plants and will dedicate a future grow to them alone and optimize, he says. I ran a blood diamond kush from a Wunderland Nurseries clone this summer. It was a wonderful plant. ;) Strong smell and taste, blissful effects. More fruit than earthy. You know these clones were selected from huge sifting programs. I am going to send a few clones east and run with Cookies, is more like what I'll do. I might fall in love with Cindy though. Her nugs are hard, sticky and smell great, and there are a lot of them. An amazingly little plant. Happy growing, Grow mates.

Mr_Positivo Hello Grow mates, This run is coming to a close. I am flushing every 3 days to bring the ppms into range. Aiming for 200 or less. CindyXX is showing amber and cloudy trichomes. I could pick her now but will give here another week. Cookies is not in the zone. I over cooked her but she has plenty of frost and her effects are strong. I'll let her run one more week. Durban Thai Cindy has a longer run time of 70days. She is in good form showing lots of vigorous pistil production still. She is a useful metric and shows me where the optimal nutes to schedule week should be. I believe I was too heavy too late with the other strains and will correct for next run. I have been sampling away and enjoying the fruits of my labor. I am leaving Durb Thai to sample in a few weeks. We grow and we learn. Best wishes to all.

Mr_Positivo Hi GD friends, Close now but holding out for another few days to see what it will bring. I see amber in all plants, plenty of cloudy trichomes but loving the fade so will push the ladies a bit further. I am hitting the upper buds with 1600 PPFD. I have never run the fixture that high before but buds are handling it no problem. (light rail light mover is the secret, the light is not on the plants constantly, they have time to rest between passes) Cindy is a champ and performing on cue and to spec. DT should be the same. I think the Cookies are vaping very nicely. They look a bit fried. The week I was away from the grow room we had very high temps and humidity and Cookies didn't fair so well. No complaints though. Her effects are very fine. Looking forward to the harvest. Should be my most successful so far. Hopefully I won't mess up the cure! Next post will be post harvest. Onward and upward. Lets get high! Thanks for your support and kind comments along the way. Cheers all.

Mr_Positivo Culled Cindy XX a week ago and CindyXX Durban Thai today. One of the 2 DT's has yet to fade, The one shown here has matured as specified at day 70. I let her run until day 74. You can see by the dense and heavy abundance of nugs, this strain is a winner. Lovely colors too. DT's has banana/baby poo nose along with a little fuel like pungency. I am needing to take a few days off sampling to 'clear my palette' and provide a more accurate report of effects. Suffice to stay, very strong stuff, uplifting and light-hearted. Cindy XX is much the same phenotypically speaking. Heavy dense abundant nugs, lovely colors, strong effects but not as sweet smelling as DT. I am going another round with these ladies bred by Rick Campanella. Happy growing all.

Thanks for the kind words, 66, Good genetics helps achieve good frost. A long veg time also helps. The addition of root enhancers also helps. Probably in that order of importance. Cheers, bro.

Bud, Thanks for the kind words, bro. 😎 Flowering times: CindyXX, 56-65 days, Cookies&Cream 56-65 days, Durban Thai Cindy99 65-70 days. That said, Cindy looks more advanced than Cookies. I'll try and tailor the grow to her needs more next time. Cheers.
